Suns have the best guards in the NBA based on play this season.

I can't think of any team that has a better group of guards than PHX. Bledsoe, Dragic, Green, with Goodwin being a very good defender and still learning on the offensive end.

Really? I bet the 4 seed in the East is 3-5 games under .500. And the 8 seed is around 11-14 games under.

There are only 3 teams in the East with a positive +/- differential. The losing records aren't a fluke. They're that bad.

Nah both are slash. Dragic isn't that good a shooter even though he had a decent run of hitting a good percentage of 3s. Both of their games revolve around and they are at their best when attacking the rim not settling for jump shots.

Should be a great game on Friday! ;)

Besides, the 8th seed is only 5 games under .500, nowhere near the 11 game under mark you're claiming to be.

You bet the 4th seed in the East is 3-5 games under .500? I'd be willing to bet my house on that one.

IMO the playoff seeding in the East.

1. Miami
2. Indiana
3. Hawks
4. Wizards
5. Pistons
6. Bobcats
7. Knicks
8. Celtics

I see the Celtics being about 3-5 games under .500, as well as the Knicks.

I think reggie Jackson as a starter on this team would do as well as Bledsoe, but in a different way.

suns got some nice guards but to say they are the best guards in the league is a bit of a stretch. dragic fades in the 4th, he's not clutch and not a go to finisher like Bledsoe.

Haha - careful now. Remember that the winner of all 3 divisions automatically gets HCA. The Titanic Eastern division likely won't get to .500, even with Rondo back (there could be a decent time of regression there while he learns to play with the new system/teammates and as he builds up to game speed). There could be a couple near .500 at the 5/6 seeds with the 7 seed imo mostly likely 3-8 games under depending on injuries, etc.

And 5 games under at the 25-30 game mark, yeah. But extrapolate those losing ways over an entire season and I get 11-14 games under from where I'm at. Wouldn't be the first time it's happened.

What games have you been watching man? Dragic was one of the main reasons we came from behind and beat Denver. When the hell did Dragic show you that he isn't clutch?

And Dragic doesn't have the athleticism of Bledsoe but he's more crafty than him at the rim. Bledsoe has a much higher % of getting shots blocked than Goran.

not even close? don't know about that. Bledsoe may be better but you make it seem like the Bledsoe/Jackson comparison is like LeBron james is to matt bonner.

big part of okc success is Jackson/lamb/adams off the bench.

i think if the suns at the start of the season had reggie Jackson instead of Bledsoe would prob have similar success.

and my comment was in response to the other guy who said the suns guards are the best in the league...which to me is a total homer statement. suns are my team but i can also look at things objectively

You're assuming that Jackson would make the same large leap that Bledsoe did in taking to his new role offensively when he theoretically becomes a starter. Which to me is a stretch based on how good Bledsoe has taken to it. It also assumes they're similar defensively, which is far from the case. I hear what you're saying and Jackson's been good, but as of right now Bledsoe is a far more impactful player.

And Adams has been solid and Lamb - admittedly better than I expected this season - but not a high impact player by a long shot.

And Adams has been solid and Lamb - admittedly better than I expected this season - but not a high impact player by a long shot.

of course everything is based on assumption. how can anyone know what the outcome would be if Jackson would do as well as Bledsoe.

but based on Jackson's play so far, I think he could come fairly close given the reigns as a starter for the suns.

the only issue i have is when another suns fan makes the claim that Bledsoe/dragic/green are the best guards in the nba, which i totally disagree.

not even close? don't know about that.

It's an objective statement to say that the Suns have the best backcourt in the league. Just cause a team has one superstar and the rest all mediocre or scrubs in their guards corps doesn't mean they have a better backcourt.

Dragic and Bledsoe are both borderline all stars. Green can be a 6MOY candidate down the stretch.
