Who on your team has been a surprise to see really contribute to your teams success or your teams contribution? To my team, the Lakers has been Jodie Meeks he has been very consistent as far as shooting and has added a driving to basket to his arsenal. Who have you called for his head last season and had to eat your words due to so an so's contribution....?

MCW, thought he'd be solid but early in the season he played like a borderline all star (albeit the East G position are severely diluted ATM).

Bargani knicks. He's been doing work the last couple of games. Hardaway is up there too.

For the Knicks its probably been Bargnani and Hardaway Jr.

After hearing how terrible Bargnani was from Raptor fans, it was nice to see him play decently.

Hardaway Jr is just playing well for a rookie.

Markieff Morris. He's becoming a true pf. A smarter player and his fouls are down.
Before the season I didn't want the Suns to pick up his option for 3.5 mil. Now it's a bargain as he'd draw at least mid level at this rate

Jordan Crawford looks like he's learning to control himself.

Probably Rodney Stuckey. He had the worst season of his career last year. Just awful. This year he is playing great in his 6th man role.

Bargnani definitely, especially his one on one defense, didn't know it was actually existent let alone superb. Don't get me started on his help defense though....

As a Blazer fan I have long advocated trading LMA. He was a poor leader and I thought he had maxed out as a result of his lacking killer instinct or ability to show up late in games. I thought that while many nba fans here did not give him enough credit he still was not as good as many Blazer fans that or hoped he was.

This year some how some way he has found a killer instinct. He now no longer disappears late in games and instead puts teams away. That is why we are 20-4, not because of Mathews or some perceived inflated 3 point shooting. It is because LMA is now a leader, he has found a killer instinct, he is more physical and understands the importance of rebounding. He finally took the next step and everyone else in the locker room has been united and put on the same page by LMA they feed off of it off of his energy and will.

As I have told many Blazer fans I have never been so thrilled to be wrong. LMA has stunned me and is easily the biggest surprise in my opinion.

Stuckey came from out of nowhere this year.

Terrence Jones is a legit starter on a good team so there's that.

Besides the last couple of games, Kevin Martin has looked really good for the Wolves.

Xavier Henry. I thought he woulda been demoted to the d league by now. But he's been one of the laker's key sparks.

his man on man d has never been a problem for bargs, he holds his position nicely and gets a block now and then, but dude is just clueless when it comes to help d and positioning for a rebound/rebounding itself

AA for taking his game to another level and Andrew Nicholson when he gets playing time.

I was going to say Tim Hardaway Jr, but now I'm leaning more towards Amare Stoudemire.

The last 5 games or so, he's looking like a real impact player again. I was close to completely writing him off, but he's suddenly found his mid range game, a decent post up game, and he even tries on defense (though still gets lost a lot).

If he kept this up through the season, I might just start believing in Santa Claus again.

:p

Boris Diaw- Looks like 2007 Diaw
Patty Mills- Has been awesome as a back up PG. Improved defensively
Marco Bellinelli- Seamless fit into the Spurs system. Lighting it up behind the arc.

Stuckey for being a great 6th man off the bench averaging around 17 PPG and having his best season as a Piston.

Also, Jennings for proving he can pass, his vision is a huge upgrade over Knight.

Jordan Crawford was considered to have negative value entering the season and now he looks like an all-star PG.

Probably a tie between Stuckey and Jennings.

Lance Stephenson. This guy was drafted 40th a few years ago and giving LeBron the choke sign from the bench. He's now leading the league in triple-doubles lol.

Amare just because I didn't expect to ever see him score above 10 ever again.

In all honesty its gotta be Bargnani I used to hate his game but he has been playing great recently.

For surprise I got to say Tony Snell. Didn't expect him to be NBA ready yet. He has a nice stroke and got some nice handles. A year under one of the best defensive coaches with his length

Tim Hardaway Jr. top 3 rookie this season.. Andrea Bargnani has been incredible, despite his bad run in December he's picked it back up.

Top 3? For what? Putting up a whopping 8 PPG?

Honestly the only people talking about Hardaway Jr are Knicks fans but who else can we put in the top 3? MCW, Oladipo are 1 and 2 McClemore and Burke have book okay but they haven't shot particularly well from the field and have had bigger roles in their teams than Hardaway. It's not a bad argument.

Giannis Antetokounmpo just started to get more minutes. He's a walking highlight reel. Just turned 19 as well.
