Aldridge is too low.. And Nash over Lillard. :pity:

I'm actually shocked Duncan is as high as he is, cause he struggled a little early on.

A lot of LOLs in there.

But it's an exhibition for the fans...I don't usually get too upset with injustices.

The starters would be:

Wade, Kyrie, Bron, Paul, Melo

Kobe, Paul, Durant, Dwight, Blake

I'd prefer Wall over Kyrie and everyone else on the list over Kobe if we're going strictly based on performance. But again, the fans wanna see Kobe? So be it. I'd prefer Love over Blake easily, too. Everyone go vote Love.

I agree. Garnett is SIXTH in the east for frontcourt. Garnett isnt even the 6th best player on his team. There's probably 30 other front court players in the east who should be ahead of Garnett. It baffles me that 102,000 people probably picked Garnett to start next to leBron and Paul George in the EAST... WTF

Fan Voting; It's a cool to get the fans involved, but it really is a joke.

It's an exhibition game. I don't care that much. We get the starters, the coaches fill out the rest. Really, if this holds true there's really only one atrocity, and then the minor Kyrie/Griffin issues. If more fans want to see Kobe start than not, then whatever? It's just an exhibition that's supposed to be fun.

I think we need to start putting more emphasis on All-NBA teams when we're looking at legacies as opposed to AS Games...because the latter is a popularity contest and the former is truly just supposed to be based on quality of play for that entire year.

It should be more then that though. Players should be able to take pride in busting *** and becoming a AllStar. There should be some sort of honor to being able to say you made a AllStar game. Not make one AllStar game and then your pretty much in for the rest of your career.

After the way Kobe played last ASG hell I'd vote for him over any other two guard. The All Star Game is about entertainment and truth be told Kobe did just that last year.

Since when do ASG votes equate to player's ranking? The Celtics are one of the most popular franchises in pro basketball with a large fan base, doesn't hurt that Rondo was their championship point guard as well. There is absolutely no correlation there.

If you think its fine and like the way that players get voted in than good for you. Keep on voting for Rondo,Amare and Kobe and enjoy your night watching Justin Beiber drain some threes. It doesn't change my opinion though that whole thing is stupid and should be changed.

Brook Lopez deserves to go and be the starting Center.

Brook Lopez, Brooklyn Nets
Meet the most productive big man in the league. An ankle injury knocked Lopez out of seven games recently, but the 7-footer has been brilliant when heís on the floor. Heís the gold standard on the block these days, averaging 1.2 points per post-up play, second-highest next to James. You know whatís sneaky good? Lopezís defense. SportVU stat: heís held opponents to just 40.2 percent shooting at the rim when heís defending the basket, which is on par with Roy Hibbert. Rebounds would be nice, but thatís nitpicking a great all-around season; heís threatening James for the top PER in the league.

Wtf? How am I a kobe hater? If anything I'm more a kobe fan boy hater.

If harden had played only 2 games the entire year I'd be saying the same thing. Has zero to do with Kobe and more to do with a guy who has missed the entire year up until recently.

I don't respect Kobe. Do I respect how good he is as a one-on-one player? Of course, that's undeniable.

I don't respect the way he treated Shaq. Yes Shaq was a big douche too but you can't play the "he started game" and then yell at Shaq "You're supposed to be my friend", especially when you don't attend his wedding when invited or skip every team dinner and outing.

I also don't respect him saying he's all about winning, yet he agrees to these ridiculous contracts that cripples the team's ability to go out and sign big name players. If he took a pay-cut the Lakers would have much more cap flexibility.

How does lin have more votes than harden?

TylerSL
12-12-2013, 06:51 PM
wow is all I have to say....

**** the fans, **** em.

They do not know how to vote on these polls. Kyrie has played horrible this year (save for last night), yet he is slotted in to start. Not only the Knicks, but Melo has had one of the worst shooting seasons of his career (which is saying something) and he is starting when not only Lebron/George are showing him up, Hibbert is more deserving.....

What's the worst part is though is the fact the Kevin Love hasn't received enough votes to start and Tyson Chandler has more votes than Drummond

Lin is also above Harden, Westbrook, and Parker

NBA should just not care about what the fans think and pick the starters themselves. Continue to let the coaches vote on the bench, they generally pick the bench right. Voting would be far less bias if that were the case. Seriously, its a joke.

TylerSL
12-12-2013, 06:57 PM
Kevin Garnett, Green and Chandler who hasn't even played are beating Drummond. Lol what a joke the All Star game is.

with guys like Lebron, George, Hibbert, Melo, Bosh, ect. vying for starting places Drummond was never going to start anyway. But don't worry, the coaches should select him as a reserve. I would anyway.

If a player's motivation is to be an All-Star, then they're doing it all wrong.

while winning should always and forever come first, there should be some recognition for the most outstanding players. Yes, the ASG is for the fans, and the fans should get see the very best in the West, play the very best in the East. Our problem (In this case I think I speak for most) with this is the fans clearly don't know who the very best are, which the very best deserve recognition. Kevin Love should be a top 5 MVP candidate let alone starting the ASG, yet he losing to Griffin....... That makes my argument for me.

12-12-2013, 08:23 PM
Why are u ppl crying over who's #7 or #10? KG over Drummond? Nash over lillard? Who cares.....both players arent anywhere near starting.

Only one really concerning is Kobe but Kobe is Kobe and this was expected.

NoahH
12-12-2013, 08:30 PM
I understand its a popularity contest. I get that. But there's something offensive to me that NBA fans are ACTUALLY voting for Lin, Garnett, Rondo, Tyson Chandler etc. YES they may be your favorite players but doesnt mean you should vote them into the all star game. None of my favorite players are injured this year but if LeBron was out with a torn ACL (like rondo) i wouldnt vote for LeBron. Maybe im too objective when it comes to ASG voting and maybe im too intense of a fan idk..

Isn't Brook Lopez number 1 in PER, TS%, (on a USG% of 26+) ORtg and WS/48 (would probably be number in WS if he wasn't injured) and one of the best paint defenders in the game? It really depends on the make up of your team when discerning which players adds more value but from a statistical POV Lopez has been better.

Lopez is better.

He must have meant to say he does a lot more rebounding on both sides of the ball. That's the only sort of statement that could make any sense there.

Yeah I'll eat some crow on this one. I was just looking up Lopez's stats and he is pretty impressive. I don't know why I thought he was worse than he is. My bad, Aside from his rebounding he is very impressive. Still though Drummond has a huge rebound advantage on him. It's literally double the rpg.
