So now 10 days into December, the Pacers have already faced the Clippers, Blazers, Spurs and Thunder on the road (2 of them b2b), and now face Miami. That'll be the toughest 10 day stretch for a team this season by about... 20X?

Watson made a nice play at the end of the quarter, but that was still completely dominated by Miami. That almost felt like a message from the Heat and Lebron to the Pacers that all the discussion of Indy being the East's best and George being the MVP were clearly premature. Indiana had better hear it loud and clear and make some adjustments, because they're getting blown out at home right now.

Indiana's definitely getting the short end on these foul calls - which is odd at home - but they've gotta find their offense and start rotating better defensively. They're all out of sorts. Props to Miami.

The Pacers are at full strength without Granger... He's not that good.

The Pacers are just throwing away their chances with turnovers. 12-2 in turnovers, and as a result the Heat are up big.

Hopefully this game will silence the Paul George hype for a while.

Paul George is a superstar in this league, but I'm glad he's getting shut down. The Pacers' hot start seems to have them thinking a little too highly of themselves. The Heat are the team to beat until they're knocked out of the playoffs. LeBron should take this challenge personally and remind the world why he's the best in the universe by a mile. Can't wait to watch these two team play a 7 game series in the ECF.

I know he's legit. I just think Steph is going to end up a little bit better by the end of the year. They're putting up very similar PER's currently but I expect Steph to surpass him in that aspect within a month. But yeah, they're both second tier in terms of stardom. 1st tier being the CP3s, LeBrons, KDs.

The role players for the Heat, and their ability to hit threes, has always been the make or break thing for this team. LeBron didn't have a great scoring night, but he, Wade and Bosh probably did enough to win. But when the role players are hitting threes the Heat don't lose. That didn't happen tonight.

It shouldn't have taken a hot start for people to start believing the Pacers can beat Miami...the last two playoffs should have proved that

I think we've all known the Pacers can beat the Heat since last season. They can just plant Hibbert inside and have everyone guard the 3pt line. The Heat won their series last postseason because of some bad coaching by Vogel as well as the Heat just don't give up.

I was watching it. The Celtics are good. The Nets, they lucked* out a bit. Kidd made adjustments to win the boards and enhance the help D rotation. They also extender DWill by 12-15 mins from his limit. Which I'll tell you right now, he was sitting b/c he didn't want to play, b/c if he had a bad ankle that first game, you can't do 30+ mins on it.

The Pacers in the last 2 wks or so have lost to the Blazers (2nd night of a back to back, and although it was a back-to-back for the Blazers as well, the Blazers blowing out the Lakers and the Pacers in a competitive fight with the Clippers is a huge difference).

Then the Pacers lose @ OKC on a 2 night of a b2b after blowing out the Spurs in San Antonio the previous night.

You give the Pacers 1 day's rest (like it will be in the playoffs), and I don't doubt they probably win those games @ Portland and @ OKC as well.

This Pacers team is the real deal. Legitimately, this yr, the Heat better be concerned.

THE PACERS ARE COMIN! I was not completely sold on them the last 2 yrs despite them taking Miami to 6 games in the 2nd round of 2012 and 7 games in the ECF of 2013.

This yr, I feel it's going to be a whole new story. They always say, 3rd times a charm, and I think it will hold true this yr for the Pacers.

I'm really intrigued what's going to be of the Knicks this yr. Do you guys think they trade away Melo at the deadline to get something for him before he walks this summer? It just such a bad situation there personnel wise, front office wise and salary cap wise for the Knicks. I don't see Melo coming back next yr, even if the Knicks can offer him the most years and most money.

the logical Knicks fans want to trade him, the others still think he is a longterm solution. We literally don't know what to tell you. This FO never knows what it is doing. The 1st signs of structure it had was during Walsh and Grunwald. Now he's gone and it's like Billy King is their GM (Steve Mills).

What was the luck part?

well for starters, Deron wasn't suppose to play more than 25 mins. The Celtics started getting turnovers when they went wit a small lineup against the Nets. The Celtics backcourt started trapping the slower Nets guards as soon as they were crossing the timeline taking them out of their game plan of getting the ball to Brooke Lopez, who is prolly the best scoring big man in this game right now, [he's also shockingly to Jason Kidd's credit starting to pass the ball better out of the post]. The Celtics denied this late in the game cuz the Nets guards just couldn't knock down a jump shot, so they were trapped and they were getting the passing lane clogged. There was no entry pass lane w/ GWallace and Avery Bradley's wingspan creating the traps and whoever was the PG would just drop off whoever they were defending to intercept a pass.

The Nets offense struggled immensely b/c of this. I've been saying Billy King has not been knocked enough. If Deron's jumper isn't on Joe Johnson is the only other option and that's creating a mess. They needed Pierce to be the guy that stretches a D on the starting line up. He isn't. But you don't see Billy King trying to improve this at all. There was a point in this game that Kidd slid Deron to the SG spot to get some seperation, but all Boston did was drop off Livingston. Again, they need a stretch guard and King sits on his *** doing nothing. You have the SF or the SF/PG position being affected in critical moments of a game. There's what I meant wit the Nets were lucky the Celtics didn't steal that game. What happens when you miss long jump shots? long rebounds, what results out of that turnovers? fastbreaks, and there is no way the Nets backcourt is equipped to defend those.
