0_o. That's a pretty damn awesome record actually. What exactly is so insignificant about it?

I actually agree its not that great a record.

If he can break most 3 mades in a game, that would be impressive.

I appreciate the record. Shows how consistant and reliable of a shooter he has been.

The record here shows that Korver is a very consistent three point shooter.

Can you imagine if Mike Dantoni had him on the Lakers? 0_0 He would the leading scorer on the team right now.

Also Cavs Fan24 beat me to it. :(

That's not that impressive of an award IMO. All anyone has to do is pretty much shoot 30% or so from 3 and jack up 4 or 5 per game to hit at least 1 per game. What's more impressive in today's nba is that he's actually played in 90 consecutive games haha bunch of softies in today's game.

Underrating the difficulty by alot in this thread... He doesn't shoot alot either which makes this even more impressive.

So why hasn't any other player come close?if it's that easy

That's a good question.

I can answer it: Korver has been a more consistent three point shooter for the past 90+ games than any other player in the NBA.

Question answered.

Pretty sick when you have guys like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller - teams go-to scorers who also happened to be the best 3 point shooters ever that haven't done it. Korver doesn't get near the amount of touches as some of those guys.

I think the other parts of Korvers game are underrated too. He speed off the ball, maneuvering of screens, passing off the curl are all top notch and he isn't a complete slouch on D.

The guy doesn't do a lot of things well, but he's easily one of the greatest 3-point shooters in the history of the league. Go ahead and laugh at this accomplishment, but consider that he's also 12th in career 3-point shooting percentage and 26th in all-time 3-pointers made. Considering he's only 32 and he's easily hitting 100 3-pointers a season, there's a very good chance he'll end up cracking the all-time top 10 in 3-pointers made while staying toward the top in all time percentage.

Team's scouting reports always include Korver, not saying teams plan against him like he's some sort of superstar but teams know to not leave him open. The fact that he has still made a 3 in 90 straight games despite that being what other teams plan against is impressive, at least to me.

Agreed. By comparison, look at Steph Curry. The guy may be the single most talented shooter we've ever seen in NBA history. Even he, who seems unflappable, has been shut out from the 3-point line twice already this season in only 17 games. For Korver to hit one in 90 straight contests is a pretty impressive feat.

J.J. Reddick and Kyle Korver. The best 2-3 Mike Dantoni could ask for.

The odd thing is that the Hawks are the closest thing outside of Miami and Indiana that the East has to a "contender" right now. At this point, they're the clear favorite for the No. 3 seed and a second round playoff appearance.

And we can swap 1st round picks with the Nets for the next 2 years, so if Nets end up in the lottery, the Hawks could be adding 2 lottery guys with Horford/Teague/Millsap/Korver/Williams. So Hawks could be really good in the next year or so. Adding a Parker/Randle/Wiggins to that core could make them contenders.

Every single year we get some new unspoken record being broken. So I really don't pay to much attention about this such things.

I am yet to meet a 76ers fan that doesn't want Korver back. I'm glad he was able to accomplish such a feat.
