We should destroy them with relative ease. Unfortunately, their bigs could dominate us if we're not playing hard for all four quarters.

it doesnt look like their bigs are interested in dominating anybody based on their record.... this looks to be full out tank mode.

But since you're back- we got this

True but Kanter and Favors have scary talent. If Curry is turning it over badly again (don't know why he would but whatever), Klay is cold, our bench isn't scoring. They could beat us. The potential is there.

It would have to be a perfect storm for them but it wouldn't be the first time.

Wow, Vegas has us as 15.5 point favorites. That's the biggest spread I've seen this year. Definitely a tough situation for them on a b2b from San Antonio against a high octane offense like ours. This teams starting PG is Alec Burk and starting SF is Richard Jefferson. Kanter/Favors is nice, but there is no reason why this should not be a big time blowout. Hopefully the bench doesn't let them back in it in the 4th, but they have one of the weaker benches in the NBA as well, so it's less likely tonight.

We get them again in 2 days in Utah.

lol I honestly don't think it was intentional, on one of the replays you could clearly see Dalembert holding his arm, as he yanks it away to break free the momentum is carried forward obviously. I don't think he went looking to hit Dirk.

If you watch this video from 1:10 you'll see what I mean, watch Dalembert grabbing his arm.

lol no obviously it wasn't. But just because he's done it before doesn't mean it was deliberate this time a swell, I mean he has form but I honestly think it was a mistake on Dirk, it was pretty clear to me he was yanking his arm free.

Remembered reading this in the Jazz forum and thought it was worth quoting after that game...

gs will regress from last year. i'm not sold on their draft, curry is as fragile as ever (nothing will change that), thompson will not repeat his shooting from last year, and bogut is still bogut. i can't see them making the playoffs. odds are against them that they will not completely fall apart as they usually do.

Klay lights them up, Bogut gets a double-double.

I love Utah fans :)

I hope jermain Oneal doesnt milk this thing for more than a day or so- we need him back monday night. We cant have both of our back up bigs sitting out extensive time.

I dont know if the warriors were playing him too many minutes or he just came into camp out of shape- but going down when nobody touches you shouldnt take you out of commission for extensive time.... unless its a kevin ware situation or something.

If hes out- they may need to make a trade. We cant go back to david lee playing center like st jean was suggesting. I really thought we had moved past that.

WHY WOULD HE FAKE AN INJURY?!?!?!??!

First of all it wasn't a wet spot, they already said that. Secondly did you see how he fell? And he couldn't even walk, it took two guys to help him off and he had to stop half way down the tunnel.

If he's legitimately injured he's not milking it. And we don't know the situation AT ALL yet so you can't make that sort of assumption.

If he's hurt he's hurt.

I don't think you understand what milking an injury means. And you're yet again jumping to conclusions. You have a nasty habit of always assuming the worst.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you're so accustomed to everything going wrong you don't know how to behave now that it's all going so well. Many years of this team failing has turned you into a pessimist. You're a self hating fan, the worst kind imo. Not that I can blame you given our history.

sometimes players just dont think its worth trying to get back on the floor... Mookie blaylock sat out the final 3 months of his final season with the warriors with a jammed finger.

then you have guys like dejuan wagoner, troy hudson.... no real reason given for them to stop playing. I have no clue what haoppened with chris webber in 2008- just looked like he lost interest.

Speaks on how much Steph contributes and is not just "a shooter". But that needs to improve without him on the floor regardless, but I have no doubt it will, as they develop more chemistry.

lol there was a point in the Jazz game where he was being triple teamed and they left Klay open in the corner. Side note; I love seeing Coach Jackson trying some zone defense again.

I like the start to the season, first ten games done and dusted, we're doing well.

7th in fewest points allowed per game (97.2)
6th in points per game (104.9)

Holding opponents to 42% from the field (5th best) and 30% from deep (3rd best)
Shooting 49% from the field (2nd best), 45% from deep (#1) (side note; Miami are the only team with a better eFG%)

4th in DRtg, (Behind Bulls, Indiana and Spurs).

4th in margin of victory.

5th in attendance!

Our problem so far has been turnovers and fouls;

7th in forcing turnovers but only four teams commit more turnovers than we do.

Only five teams commit more fouls than we do and only five teams allow more free throws than we do.

On top of that we're 13th in rebounding but also really bad at letting opponents crash the glass. We're one of the worst at allowing second chances.

I believe it is possible... but it seems to happen ridiculously often to warriors players (ie mookie blaylock, troy hudson, chris webber, dejuan wagoner... steph curry stumbling over the 3 point line and sitting out 1/3 of the season a few yrs back)..... youd have to think if SOME of these guys were motivated... they would figure out a way to minimize the amount of missed time for their injuries)

I have... but it doesnt matter I have... Im not comparing myself to these players Im comparing other NBA players... do you honestly think no player in the history of the game has played with as bad an injury as oneal has right now? (hard to say because we just have a generic description of the injury)... but I know other nba players have played with their ankle in worse condition than steph curry at the end of the 11-12 season. (the team was tanking and thats why they sat him... call it a conspiracy if you want)... I know other nba players have played through a jammed finger like mookie had in 02.

lol there was a point in the Jazz game where he was being triple teamed and they left Klay open in the corner.

Our problem so far has been turnovers and fouls;

Some of their good rankings are even better when you factor in pace, and some of their bad rankings look a little better when you factor in pace too. The fact is that they pass a lot more than most teams and they play at a faster pace which leads directly to more turnovers ... that said they definitely need to reduce turnovers and get better and blocking out rather than leaking out sometimes.

Rumour is they're bringing up Dedmon.

Speights is big, so although it's not his natural position I think he can play in there for short bursts.

Speights - Kuzmic - Dedmon - Lee for rare small ball.

I think we can survive Utah. Problem is next up after that is Memphis, Lakers and Portland, all who have big men that can ball (admit it, Hill has been balling recently, Lopez is Lopez but LMA can ball).

Obviously Utah's bigs are of a very high caliber, but I think our back court balances it out for us, Curry, Klay and Dre destroyed them.

Portland and Memphis could be a different story though.

SOunds like a good opportunity for Bogut to prove he is worth his contract extension. For a true top 5 center- this shouldnt be a big problem. Warriors have done a good job keeping his minutes down for most of the season. He might have to play bigtime minutes and stay out of foul trouble for 2 or 3 games now.

We disagree again.

He earned that money by carrying our defense in the playoffs imo.

Also for me it's never been about the total minutes but the quality of the minutes they put in. If he could average 30 minutes a game as an elite defender for the rest of his contract I'll be happy.

I would rather have him play how he's been playing on the same minutes than have him play massive minutes but have less of an impact due to fatigue or injuries or whatever.

Ideally he would be playing big minutes as an elite defender but I'm not expecting him to do that. If he does? Brilliant!

Just different perspectives.

not saying he has to constantly play 40 minutes a game as an elite defender... but he should be able to step up for 3 or 4 games when the team is down a guy.

Ideally nobody would play more than 30 minutes and it wouldn't cost the team anything ... but we don't have that depth.

I figured Dedmon would be the 15th guy at the final cuts, so not surprised he came back ... it's a shame that the roster is now essentially locked for the rest of the year though since he couldn't be brought up on a 10 day contract.

I'd like to see what Kuzmic could do pressed into service, but options are always good.

correct me if im wrong, but they might not be able to give him a 10 day contract- but were still able to give him a non guaranteed deal (which effectively could be very close to the 10 day contract.

Its unfortunate though- because id really like to see the warriors pick up a quality back up PG. Once festus ezeli is healed- I think he will be improved and able to contribute for 12-16 minutes a night.

LMAO scoots, werent you the one freaking out about not having enough playing time for everyone as the warriors were acquiring people over the summer? LOL now you're concerned that we dont have adequate depth?

I don't believe I expressed concern about inadequate depth, just that in an ideal world there wouldn't be a drop off to the backups and that nobody would play more than 30 minutes. In an ideal world my traffic lanes would always be clear but I'm not concerned that they are not :)
