View Full Version : Potential Trades?

It is a little early to pull the panic button, but you've likely seen some areas where your teams need to improve. Are there any trade you think need to happen? Try to suggest trades that are mutually beneficial for both teams.

Example: JJ Redick for Tony Allen. The Clippers need some defense at the wing positions (Wade going off proved that), and the Grizzlies need somebody who can create offense. The trade, I think, would make both teams better.

What moves would you recommend?

Gay to Charlotte for Gordon and a first. Raptors get cap relief and an extra pick in a loaded draft and the bobcats get to make the playoffs. Then derozan to Cleveland for some of their young talent and a pick. Cleveland need a wing scorer bad.

It would be nice. Wont happen but I wish it would. The pick would be nice from Charlotte. Tristan Thompson for DD would be nice too. Then we could feature some team play (instead of ISO) and maybe feature JV a little more (A lot more)

Oh, and if either team wants to take Dwane Casey for their mascot or bag of balls or just for free or if we also throw in $1M, Im all for it too.

I doubt anyone gives up an expiring and a first for gay. gay makes way to much for that.

LOL. Ya you're right on about that. What was he thinking? I like that he said he thought there was a 5 second difference. They came out of a timeout!!! Masai should buy him a calculator.

You're probably right but I say Charlotte because they are desperate for a playoff spot. Them or Cleveland.

i can picture JIm Buss being idiot enough to trade pau and lakers 1st for gay instead o letting pau expire and draftin a nice prospect in the 10-20 range.

Anything that gets Boozer off the Bulls, maybe we can swing Boozer and Deng in a deal for Love?

No kidding. He tried to back himself up by saying all his coaching staff agreed and that many coaches in the NBA would/often do the same thing with 1.9 second shot clock difference lol. Anybody should know that a last second shot has time to travel through the air from the 3point line, hit the rim and then come off of it before you can even call the timeout (this assuming you get the rebound AND assuming that shot doesnt go in). It was frustrating for sure lol.

The only thing more frustrating than losing, was losing and seeing Valanciunas stapled to the bench after playing a good game.

Anyhow, before the thread is derailed by my Dwane Casey frustration, I would like to get a pick for Gay even if its not top 5 and I like Tristan Thompson for DD as i said and feel he and JV would make a great duo going forward.

The Wolves are playing good ball to start the season (albeit early). Love is one of the leading scorers/rebounders in the league. I cant see him going anywhere. I think the Wolves management are going to give Rubio and Love a real shot to play together since for the most part, theyve not been able to due to injuries.

As for Boozer, Im trying to think of a logical place for him to go. Perhaps depending on how dense the Bucks are and how much their GM actually thinks they can win, maybe send him there with a pick for Ilyasova and Giannis Adentokumpo? I would do that if I were the Bulls I think.

EDIT: Looking at it again, of course i do that if im the bulls lol. No way Bucks do it unless again, they are plain stupid (I wont put it past them though because theyre desperate to win.)

you still have bobcats pick?

i think celtics and lakers could be up to

Rondo to lakers
Gasol to Bulls
bobcats pick and boozer to celtics.
add role players to make contracts work.

that would give nice capspace for bulls in the summer.

and you shouldnt trade Deng btw.

Once Kobe returns how about Nash for any sort of expiring contract. Blake and farmar are doing very well this season and when Kobe's back one of them can come off the bench

WTF? Redick has been outstanding. He was putting up 18 ppg on 50 percent shooting before yesterday's game. A star player giving him hell on D one game isn't grounds to be one of your first trade examples.

black1605

I'm perfectly fine with Charlotte not making any trades this season. Let Gordon and Sessions expire, Pargo and Tolliver are on one year deals. That frees up roughly twenty million dollars. Not to mention, we could potentially have three first round picks depending on how Detroit and Portland's seasons play out.

I'll trade Amare to the Celts for Rondo, straight up.

In all seriousness, if there was a realistic way to get Rondo, the Knicks would have to do it. I wonder if the Celts would accept a package built around Shump and Chandler. Probably dreaming but damn would it be nice

With the way Turner is playing, you better believe that pick will need to be included.
