Jimmy Butler has done the best job I have seen anyone do on him.

All of the guys named on the video do a fairly good job of guarding him, but when players are as great as Lebron, Kobe, Melo, Wade, etc... it is up to the team to slow them down. In other words, if you have a defensive genius like Tibbs coaching, you can devise a 'team' defensive scheme to slow down said players.

Honestly, I know it was the allstar game, but Kobe Bryant completely LOCKED DOWN Lebron James! The best job I've ever seen on Lebron James....and its not even close

didnt want to watch the video but Jimmy Butler, Luol Deng, MWP, Pierce in past years, and Kawhi Leonard have all done a pretty damn good job or at least as good of a job as anyone can do defending LBJ.

I think Lebron James too strong, in the NBA best basket player.

Matter.

I would give Noah and Hibbert more credit than Butler and George. The gameplan for both was to allow LeBron to blow past you and funnel them to your anchor in the paint. They gave up the drive as long as the drive was directed where they wanted it to be directed. For the Spurs, I would give the credit to Pop, because he went against the grain and against what worked for the previous two teams, and instead of giving up the drive he gave up the jumper and told whoever was guarding him to sag off him 12 feet and make him start thinking instead of reacting (If LeBron has one glaring flaw, its his fragile mental psyche and the tendency to think too much and play scared when things start going against him).

All of them worked to a certain degree, none of them worked well enough to pull out the series although LeBron had plenty of cringeworthy "playing scared" moments in the Finals that got washed away from our memories with one flick of Jesus Shuttlesworth's wrists.

I have a hard time giving Kawai so much credit for leaving him wide open with success. I mean, Boris Diaw looked like a "LeBron Stopper" too following that gameplan. I don't think anyone would mistake him for even a mediocre defender. Pop knew the way to beat LeBron was doing it mentally and he nearly did.

Even in the Mavs series, I think all the credit should go to Tyson Chandler and Carlisle's 2-3 zone schemes over Deshawn Stevenson's 1v1 defense.

Marion and Stevenson did a pretty good job when he choked. Pierce used to do a pretty good job back in the day....
