So i've had enough of people ranking regular season stars above better players because they perform better when there is no pressure. Now, who are the top 10 players in the post-season? you judge top 10 by players you trust to contribute in pivotal games in the play-offs.

Mine

1. Lebron James
2. Tim Duncan
3. Carmelo Anthony
4. Kobe Bryant
5. D Wade (higher when healthy)
6. Dwight Howard
7. Kevin Durrant
8. Derrick Rose
9. Rusell Westbrook
10. Tony Parker.

Honorable mention: Paul George

Note: I think this is also the real NBA top 10, enough of honoring guys like Cp3 and Harden, or guys that fade away when games count.

Is this based off of anything in particular (like last few seasons), or just amongst active players that you would trust based off what they've done in their careers? (if that makes sense lol)

Maybe not top 10 but Rondo is definitely up there. In big games he always produces. Not sure I agree with your list, but like KDspurman said I'm not sure exactly what you're basing it off of either

It's based off post-season performances. Each player must have been in the play-offs atleast twice.

Melo and Rose? No disrespect to these guys, but Rose really hasnt played much in the post season except for really 2010, and Melo has maybe gotten out of the first round twice in his career?

If Rose and Melo are going to be on there, Dirk absolutely should too. He at least actually steps up his game and was instrumental in his team winning a championship.

LMAO...as much as we disrespect Melo, he's no Tracy Mcgrady. Melo has a run of bad luck with teammates in the play-offs and we can't blame him for that. Rose took his team to the East finals...basically destroying every team in their path en-route...if not for Miami, the Bulls would have won the championship. Dirk ain't a thing, he needed Jason Terry to close games for him.

The one player I dont want to see on the play-offs is Tim Duncan. Most NBA fans will tell you that. Dude can outsmart your whole front court. Ask Shaq, Dwight, Bosh etc

So A) you are saying Melo needs better teammates to get him farther in the playoffs, and B) Rose did run into Miami that year, but the years before he didnt do anything.

last 10 years, minimum 30 mpg, 10 playoff games played per postseason (taking out first round knockouts). WS/48

Not the end all obviously, but a statistical glance at contributions.

2012 , 2013... My playoffs performance list:

1. Lbj
2. KD
3. Tony Parker
4. Timmy
5. Wade
6. Westbrook
7. Rondo (a star in the ECF, 2012)
8. P Geroge ( a growing star in the ECF 2013... 2012 playoffs, he really didn't shine)
9. Melo (2yrs in the playoffs, leading his team)
10. Bosh (Underrated)

Didn't know where to put Cp3...

1yr players are healthy and the next, crazy *** injuries... so I just balanced it out.

Here are the top 15 postseason performers based on career advanced numbers.

Top 15 Postseason PER:
1. Lebron James
2. Chris Paul
3. Kevin Durant
4. Tim Duncan
5. Dirk Nowitzki
6. Dwight Howard
7. Dwyane Wade
8. Amare Stoudemire
9. Kobe Bryant
10. Russell Westbrook
11. Kevin Garnett
12. Pau Gasol
13. Deron Williams
14. Carmelo Anthony
15. James Harden

Top 15 Postseason WS/48:

3. Kevin Durant
4. Tim Duncan
5. Dwight Howard
6. Chris Paul
7. Chauncey Billups

10. Manu Ginobili
11. Pau Gasol
12. Amare Stoudemire
13. Kobe Bryant
14. Kevin Garnett
15. Deron Williams

I don't think you can base a list solely off advanced numbers, though, so to get a better picture, let's throw in the top 15 career postseason scorers still in the league:

1. Kevin Durant
2. Lebron James
3. Dirk Nowitzki
4. Carmelo Anthony
5. Kobe Bryant
6. Dwyane Wade
7. Russell Westbrook
8. Vince Carter

11. Deron Williams
12. Paul Pierce
13. Dwight Howard
14. Kevin Garnett
15. Tony Parker

Factor in recent play, titles, defense and a few other factors, and I think this would probably be my list:

1. Lebron James
2. Kevin Durant
3. Tim Duncan
4. Dirk Nowitzki
5. Chris Paul
6. Kobe Bryant
7. Dwyane Wade
8. Dwight Howard

10. Russell Westbrook
Honorable mentions: Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Garnett
