I wouldn't expect anything less from such a shameful organization.

Still think the NBA isn't fixed...

All NBA players including Stern and the refs are currently cheating cokeheads, amirite?

Shameful organization? They're talkin about the Knicks, not the entire Nba. And the '80 Knicks. The Nba has its problems, but like each sport organization in the world.

And I'm also a Juventus fan,a legendary team demoted to Serie B because of a shameful direction FO that rigged matches menacing refs. But I'm still a crazy fan of Juventus.

Not surprised by this. Players back then didn't make as much as guys today. You'd get a player like Magic sign a 5-year $500 000 deal... so yeah, it's easy to fall in debt with a habit (drugs or gambling). Today players who get those kind of minutes earn far more, so it's less likely, but I imagine for teams that are bad and motivation is low, there is still a possibility.

Uhhhh actually not only the Knicks...

Phoenix Suns....

In 1991, Dumas was briefly suspended for violating NBA's substance abuse policy. In 1993, he was suspended indefinitely after tested positive for a banned substance and failing to participate in a drug rehabilitation program. After two years, he was reinstated and was subsequently banned for violating a clause in his contract which prohibited him from consuming alcohol.

Don't see any claims of shaving points for their dealers so yeah, only the Knicks.

A revelation that games were fixed in some capacity doesn't matter? That's a childish, shirt sighted point of view.
It matters a lot.

No it's just that it was 30 years ago. How is that relevant today? I hate the Knicks and jump at any opportunity to talk about them in a negative sence. I haven't even see this on espn or radio talk shows. We all know games were fixed. What's the point of beating this dead horse? An trust me the Knicks weren't the only franchise to do this. Don't understand what the point is when talking about it

Hahah was just about to say people think the nba is bad they need read up on fifa and the footballing world. Hell its widely known that the World Cup bids are bought and sold but nobody can do anything about it. Seria A has had a lot of problems with match fixing as well as Greece and Asia.

Actually the worst case in the history was Juventus. The most of the problems come from Serie B,too much betting. And players join these bad deals. The World Cup is a pain in the ***,even if I can't say that the winners where not worthy, the best team always win in that competition. But yes, soccer has a lot of problems(also the problem of the fair cap)
