Signed to non-guaranteed contract, do you like signing or no?

Since it's non guaranteed. Hope he can put in some work for once.

I "like" it since there's essentially zero risk involved, but I'm not expecting much out of him. Sure hope he proves me wrong, though.

Its a low risk/high reward situation

I'm glad we signed him, I remember some games in 2008 that Beasley played in when he was motivated, he balled and showed a lot of energy. Hopefully with the vets that we have on this team he'll straighten up and help the cause for a 3peat

Hopefully he impresses at camp and earns a spot on the rotation. It's time for him to start caring.

At 24 years old, with all the talent in the world and his prime years ahead of him, this is an amazing signing. Question is whether or not he will motivate himself to become a better player on and off the court.

Off the bench, I honestly dont see how he doesnt produce for the Heat.

Yes, I like the signing for the minimum non-guaranteed contract.

It is EXACTLY the contract that was needed to be signed. If he steps out of line or won't listen we cut him.

I don't think I've seen anyone say it better than this.

I expect a lot from Beasley. I expect for him to go for 40 at least once this year. I expect for him to really care and go all out. I expect Lebron to push him and for it to have a very positive effect. MJ/Pippen anyone? Nah I'm playing, but I wouldn't be surprised if the two of them pulled an MJ/Pippen like performance from time to time. I know that sounds crazy but this is what I see. Call me out if it doesn't happen.

Beasley has Pippen talent but he needs to put it together

No be very surprised if that happen…comparing the duos implies that Beas plays defense….you should’ve stop at hes gonna drop 40 lol I’ve been reading a lot of your posts about Beas and I love your enthusiasm….really…it gets me excited for next season and what the possibilities may hold…but……since he doesn’t play defense its hard for me to see him play much this year…defense is about hustle and you have to be willing to play it….hes never been about “team” in his career…theres a reason why hes on a non-guarantee contract…as of now hes just a bench warmer

I heard LeBatard dismiss this as simply a training camp signing......he's definitely making the roster if he simply competes in camp and stays out of trouble off the court.

I like that he has to earn his keep so if he makes he earned it like Birdman did!

These 14 are definitely making the team:

Chalmers
Cole
Wade
Allen
James
Battier
Jones
Bosh
Haslem
Beasley
Lewis
Andersen
Anthony
Oden

I think they will send Ennis to Europe, cut Varnado and the others.

If beasley and oden can give us anything, our bench would be nasty.

cole
ray/jj
battier/jj
beasley/lewis
oden/anderson/anthony

If Oden gets healthy during the season i see him starting and us playing a big line up
When ODENS HEALTHY
Chalmers/Cole
Wade/Allen
Lebron/Battier/Beasley/JJ
Bosh/Haslem/Beasley/Lewis
Oden/Birdman/Joel

But Beasley gets more minutes then expected because he'll play the 3 and 4

When Wade , Bosh , Rio , Haslem go out

Cole
Allen
LeBron
Beasley
Oden or Birdman

When LeBron goes out

Cole
Wade
Beasley
Haslem
Oden or Birdman

then back to the starting rotation

Either waythis really helps with Scoring when Bron, Wade or Bosh is out

Analysts and many fans alike have been downplaying the signing. Among Beasleys immaturity, off court issues, and mediocre play on the court; there still lies a very young and physically talented basketball player. This guy off the bench will do wonders for the Heat.

I have no doubt in my mind that Beasleys departure from Miami has hindered his development as a basketball player. In both Minnesota and Phoenix, he was surround by a less accomplished staff, young players that lack leadership qualities, and losing environments that further diminish motivation for a player that struggles to find it.

I invite people to watch game recaps of Beasleys tenure in Miami so that you may see how much more involved he is, he took better shots (although he loves the long jumper) and he rotated on defense. Im excited to see what he becomes in a winning system and with veteran leadership.

The Heat will through the regular season as their warmup. Once the postseason arrives, all we need is Oden to play 10-15 effective minutes against Indiana and Chicago. If that occurs, Miami will be very difficult to beat in 7 games

I dont like him coming in when it counts only

He needs to get some Chemistry with the team

By all star break id like 20 minutes from Oden , Starting or off the bench.

I think Beasley means more to this team then we think

LeBron and Bosh are REALLY gonna help him

LeBron's gonna help with The drive and passion to improve and win

While They'v Always called Beasley Poor mans Bosh so Bosh can show him some tricks.

Also this staff can make about anyone in the NBA at least Average on D and with His Atheticsim who knows

Oden will get spot minutes but I do not see him seeing the floor on a night in night out basis; much less starting. All the Heat need and what i want to see, is a healthy big that can defend the low post and grab rebounds against teams with size.

Either way, having two young players 24 and 25 can never hurt. If both pan out, the Heats championship window widens.

Man I really like the potential of this heat team. I know Beasley can ball he is not the question its Oden. If Oden plays like what he was man this Heat team will be something special.

I think this is a great signing, as it is low risk, high reward. If he shows up ready and commited, he could even find himself starting because of the small ball philosophy. A lineup of Bosh-Lebron-Beasley-Wade-Chalmers could be very athletic and put up a ton of points.

I thought this also but i think while Bosh is here

He needs to be 6thman

Cause he's a Scorer , we are fine in the starting rotation with Scoring and we need Haslem or Oden to be the rough guy In the middle while Bosh is in
