2013 Spurs easily to me. One of the most complete teams ever quite possibly. They were literally one possession from beating the Juggernaut Heat and had to flat out choke to lose the title. I loved the 06 Mavs but it was eye opening seeing them choke on a fat one the way they did so it's hard to have confidence in them. Up 2-0 then losing by 2, 1 and 3 in three of the final four games in which they lost 4 straight.

Edit: Missed 08 Lakers on the list. Still got Spurs without a doubt but the 08 Lakers were an outstanding team as well and are in the top 3 of this list, maybe 2nd best.

I voted for the SA 2013,they were very deep and complete, one step from the championship. But I think Lakers 2004 were the best team if they're brought in the discussion.

No Love for the 2005 Pistons? They won the title the year before and pushed the Spurs to 7 games in 2005.

For me, it was either them or the Spurs this year.

I don't think that the 04 Lakers or the 12 Thunder should be on this list because a really good team would find a way to not be embarrassed by their opponents in 5 games. Lakers would've been swept if it wasn't for Kobe's heroics, and OKC just look flat out finished in game 5 vs the Heat.

2013 Spurs or 2010 Celtics

Nice call...

I didn't want to add them, because I felt that every Laker fan would pick that 2004 Lakers team.

I also feel that the Piston team should get a lot of love too, they ended the Lakers championship run (and with a little help from Kobe too; fire away kobe).

Haha you are right, that probably would happen on this forum

One suggestion I would make to the list would be to add the 10 Celtics (as someone referred to already). They played really hard, knocked out Wade, Lebron, and Dwight in three consecutive rounds, and came within 10 minutes of beating the Lakers in LA for the title.

I'd have to go Spurs as well. Coaching, experience, leadership, depth, talent, bench... They had no real holes, and came as close to winning a championship without doing it that you can have. I think anytime recently when you win the West, you are a great team.

This is clearly a case of short term memory.

The 2008 Lakers had the highest SRS of any team listed here in that respective year.

They are the answer.

Yea I agree 2010 C’s are my chose just because they were up 3-2....they didn’t have Perk for GM7 and lost by 4 and he got hurt in GM6 and only played like 7min...now a days Perk is a joke but when he had a C's uniform on he was usefull ….I always hear Doc say that no one has ever beaten the C’s when the five of Rondo, Allen, PP, KG and Perk are fully healthy…the next year Perk got traded….the year before KG got hurt…and the year before that they were champs…I like the 2013 spurs, 2005 Pistons and the 2011 heat…but the 2010 C’s are my chose

Are the 2013 Spurs better then the 2005 spurs? If your answer is no, that means the 2005 pistons might be better then the current Spurs (maybe).

And yeah... I didn't add the 2004 Lakers, 2010 Boston & the 2011 HEAT, because I felt a **** storm might of happen, because of each team fan base (I could have been wrong though).

I like at least 2-3 teams on this list more than the 2013 Spurs.

Hey Dade County,
That's so true and so funny. I have a hard time after 55 years of Lakers' rabidity of even discussing the 2004 Lakers - just to think of them losing that series infuriates me. (And not because of anything any non-Laker did!)

Thats a really stupid assessment on your part. here are reasons. firstly styles make fights. thats why Indiana last season and even this past season were in control of the heat most of the series. Also the 04 lakers beat the 04 spurs 4 times in a row. who you could say was even better than the 03 spurs that won it all the season before. they also beat the timberwolves who beat kings who were unbelievably good. those three teams were teams that could even compete with teams on this list. the pistons were the lakers kriptonite. the 04 spurs would have beat the pistons. and so would the 04 kings with all their ball movement.

the thunder were great too.. they just couldnt beat the heat who happened to be a GREAT TEAM. who just won back to back titles. your argument makes the 11 heat look bad too. they were heavy favorites and they should have beaten the mavs. but hey, u cant win em all. and i rank the 11 heat as number 2 on my list

i do too. its the most painful to think about. i remember thinking after getting by the wolves it was over. like no point to even watch. but when u think about it. we had no malone, fox, grant, russel. payton went on a sudden HUGE decline and got replaced by fish eventually. you cant win when slava is your starting pf and sheed is on the other end. and u also have no bench anymore cuz everyone is injured. add that to shaq and kobe blowing up in the finals and u get whooped on

Hey Cap,
Referring to Finals between the years 2000 and 2013. You've just posted my nominee for the funniest post I've ever seen on PSD-NBA.

Hey Dade County,
You just keep getting proved right. You deliberately DON'T include certain Finals to avoid certain fan bases from overwhelming the discussion; and then, even while trying to cooperate, here we are mentioning those Finals and that team. Sorry. (At least here I haven't specifically mentioned the "unmentionable". hehe)
