View Full Version : Under-25 Talent Rankings, Position No. 1

I've always been more excited about up-and-coming teams rather than established contenders. An ESPN poll on the subject piqued my interest. So:
Rank each of the NBA's 30 teams based on the overall talent of their players who will start this season younger than 25 years old.
The NBA season begins Oct. 29. A player must still be 24 years old on that date to be considered as part of an overall judgement of a team's under-25 talent base. For example, Stephen Curry is 25, so he doesn't count into the Warriors' under-25 talent base.
I'll rely on you to do your homework on how old various players are, unless you want to look like a doofus. There's a poll on ESPN that shows which players on a team are under 25 (http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/post/_/id/9550791/nba-teams-25-talent).
Also, keep in mind a balance between breadth and depth of talent. This should make for lots of good debate as well.

if you notice curry doesn't count as a under as he is already 25 as for the question the thunder are easily in a division of their own.

That's dumb. Curry is basically considered. It's the Thunder than the Warriors.

Voted Rockets without even thinking about the thunder, they play so good I forget they're so young sometimes...

Thunder
Rockets
Wolves

This (except I voted Thunder)

But, no one will pay attention to the fact Curry doesn't count and will vote the Warriors somewhere in the top 3.

Why do Rockets fans all of a sudden think they have this great team all of a sudden. You have Harden and Parsons under 25. Damn without counting Curry, the Warriors almost have more talent under 25 than the Rockets. Your not better than the Warriors, give that **** up already. Warriors have proven they can play together, Rockets haven't. Howard has peaked, not one of Curry, Thompson, nor Barnes have peaked. Take them damn goggles off already, everyone see's it but you.

Whose talking about Howard?! And your telling me Barnes and Klay are better than Harden and Parsons.....and I'm the one with the goggles on?

Btw the Rockets only finished two games behind the warriors last year....stop acting like the warriors are on another level.

Yea because most people are counting Curry in there....

Seriously people think Klay/Barnes > Harden/Parsons?

Put 25 & under and yes the warriors take it with ease...

Maybe it is BS but it's still the question...and if you count curry Warriors are not behind Pelicans...to much unproven talent there. It would be Thunder, warriors, Rockets.

Warriors are awesome, they're the best thing ever. I could only wish my rockets could have the success the warriors have and will have. Their roster is superior to the Rockets roster....I have been a huge homer in thinking they could even be in the same breath as the all mighty and deep GSW warriors.

There happy Monta is beast?

If he's going to do that then the Cavs are better with Bynum, Irving, Waiters, Thompson, Bennet, Zeller.

if you notice curry doesn't count as a under as he is already 25 as for the question the thunder are easily in a division of their own.

Most people probably forgot that Kevin Durant will be 25 by the start of the season, so the best player from the Thunder who can be used in this poll is Russell Westbrook. This thread actually requires you to research a bit.

cant leave out the cavs. all star in irving (probly the best 21 year old in the world) waiters(22) Bennet(21) thompson (23) Karasev(19)

if people are counting curry then add Bynum(25) and clark(25)

2 all stars in bynum and irving, 3 top 5 picks waiters, bennet, thompson. easy top 3. deffinitely the best team under 22

Than why are the Warriors, Rockets, and Thunder so much better? All/most of there key players are under 25.

Cavs should be above the Jazz and Pelicans. Bulls a little too high, and the Timberwolves should be a lot higher if Kevin Love is under 25 (not sure). I mean, he and Rubio are legit studs...

Kevin Love will turn 25 Sept. 7. I don't know how well this will work out, because nobody seems to check the birthdays of their favorite 24-year-old players.

Well at least that explains why they're low. That being said, if Kevin Love is disqualified due to age, how are they even in the Top 10 at all? Rubio is good but who else do they have? They've been trying to unload Derrick Williams for awhile now.
