This is great news. A contender should seriously think about picking up the GOAT.

Teams didn't refuse to resign Mike James, Mike James refused to sign a team.

So we get to live another year. The Mayans were wrong, 2014 we all die.

Excellent news. Maybe the Celts could pick him up. We need Mike James at the 5 ASAP.

He really loves the sport, give him props!

...but sport doesn't love him anymore, just like the majority of fans. He became a joke long time ago or something like a frigging mascot to jolly along a team during a long season. That's sad. Either he does not notice or he simply does not care. What's worse?

...I'm pretty sure Mike James is only a 'mascot' on PSD. So that was a dumb comment. And no, he doesn't read PSD so hes not insecure about making nice paychecks to play in the national basketball association..

And if you didn't know his middle name is Jordan-Lebron.

lolol, does anybody know the backstory on the Mike James GOAT jokes? Was there a poster it all began with? **** has been around longer than I've been here.

I'm going to guess it all started with a huge DMF-style Raptor fan.

... How dare you talk to the G.O.A.T like that

Just dont come to the sixers... The guy would make us a top 4 seed and I would rather be the worst team in the league. As great as James is he is up there in age and though he could put us in the discussion for the ship once he retires we would be back where we started.

It still baffles me that my timberwolves didn't win it all the year we had him.

I would love for him to go to LA so Kobe could sit back and admire real greatness

Even though it's great to have Mike back, I was hoping this was the year he would retire. After all, it was going to be awesome seeing his jersey retired in every arena.

why would the GOAT retire in his prime?

dont get me wrong he is getting older, but he still is in his prime. is it the back end up of his prime? sure, but he has a lot left. i could see miami picking him up and moving chalmers

Mane. And myself and a few other posters found it hilarious and ran with it.

If Heat pick up James, they should trade James and Wade tbh.

Funny thing to me is that me and my brother always made jokes about mike james even before I got on PSD, mainly because his career stats that were so ridiculous and his name.

I mean one year he puts up near 20 ppg outa absolutely no where. Then 8 the next year. Never seen that before

People always make fun of him but I actually enjoyed him when he played with the Bulls. I thought he ran the offense well.

Good stuff dude, I can't get enough of that ****. Probably one of the biggest bright spots of PSD.

Mike James is actually a legend on LI. Went to Amityville on LI and tore it up. Not many dudes come from public schools around here. AJ Price came from there too.

Unrestricted free agent Mike James' talks with the Mavericks have been ongoing, according to ******.com.
"The expectation is he will sign, he deserves it and so we will see how it shakes out," Jamesí agent, Bernie Lee said. "Mike simply wants an opportunity like everyone else to prove his worth." James has been around the block with 11 different NBA franchises and the 38-year-old guard is on his last legs as a pro. The Mavericks added tons of depth at guard this offseason, so it doesn't really add up that they would want have additional depth. While James' record of 16-7 as a starter last season with the Mavs is impressive, it'll be tough for Dallas to make room for him.

I want aware of this. I grew up one town over. Amityville HS used to have gun violence. Tough neighborhood.

Mike James ended the gun violence, saved ppl from a burning building, then return to a basketball game in the second half only to hit the greatest game winner in basketball history

Last legs? The reporter is obviously either blind and deaf or a clear hater. I don't know wtf were the Mavs thinking. The record speaks itself of his almighty greatness.

Why is LeBron James so good and where did get his basketball genes from?

Mike James is the father.
