Hey guys, It is that time of year again! Once again we kick of the PSD NBA Off-Season Player Rankings. This is the 6th year I have done this on PSD and it always brings some great discussion and debate. Please keep things civil and discuss who you feel is most fitting and deserving of being voted in each poll.

A lot has changed since last season. Lebron James and the Miami Heat are back to back NBA champions after an exciting 7 game series win over the Spurs. Let start the discussion since lots has changed since the start of last season. Please TRY AND VOTE FOR THE BEST PLAYER AND DON'T BE A HOMER. I will leave the poll open for one day and than we can carry on to the next best player at that position. I will add more players after each round. I have also included the results of those last 5 years so everyone can see how much things have changed...Enjoy.

Due to some people complaining that the rule was not written for the PG poll; in order to be eligible for these rankings, players must of played in 10 or more games last season. Thank you.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best

probably should have Avery Bradley listed, since he's right there with Tony Allen as the best perimeter defender in the league

I think Vince played SF this year, no?

Seriously... what about Klay! That kid is awesome!

I'm really not feeling this list though except for top three or four it doesn't make sense... And monta should not even be in top ten at all

Vince basically leading in every advanced category. Don't let per game stats fool you. Sadly, I voted for Klay and wish I could change my vote right now.

Your Klay vote is still fine. Considering volume he was still the better 3pt shooter, was constantly tasked with guarding the opponents best player on defense, and logged a full 10 mgp more than Vince. The advanced stats that can't account for that defensive work and regulate the #'s so the minutes played + role aren't taken into account shed Vince in a much better light.

That said, I'm not sure who I'd go here. I could see Gordon Hayward with as strong an argument as anyone. Probably where I'd lean tbh.

I went with Monta Ellis. He can do more for a team as the sixth man than Klay Thompson can as the starting shooting guard.

As a Warriors fan who has watched the vast majority of the games in both of their careers. No. At least Klay is + defender and plays within an offense.

Monta might have the skills but his IQ is just not there. You can't play him within an offense, he will end up chucking lol.

Like I said in the other thread, if Carter hasn't been a top 10 SG in the past 3 years, how is he gonna be one at age 55?

I don't want VC to win so I'm going Thompson since he's the closest one.

Durability/longevity....

Butler, Monta, AA, and maybe Reke are all equally deserving. Between VC and Klay, I think if it was close at all last year, that next year will be clearly different, in the now, Klay is in the process of beating Vince.

Why should durability and longevity be a factor in a single season performance?

Its not a factor, at least not a significant factor, I was explaining the reason for how Vince moved up the rankings.

hah honestly you're right - Ray should get top 10 over this rag tag group for the shot alone. Possibly the best or most clutch in NBA history.

Completely agree! Manu is way too high, was borderline top 10 to begin with. Carter and Allen are not top 10 players. Crawford should be top ten, but because of the earlier mistakes pushing others down, I cannot vote for him now.

Toronto's no more invisible than most of the teams in the NBA, fans just don't think Demar's very good. And really, he's not. His PER, RAPM, shooting ability, playmaking ability, defense, etc are all sub par. Electric dunker who can put up some points on occasion, that's about all you get from him. That said, with how weak SG is, if you could make a strong case he might get more votes for the 10 slot.

Re run the thread/poll or give it to Thompson. Carter has been in this league long enough, the young guns are the ones who deserve it.

haha, Vince will be the 3rd guy on the list to play less than 30mpg. And JR got there for the 1st time this year.

Maybe those people who project MJ at 50ppg in this league are right.

I know, I have my own hater. I'm so excited. I never thought that I would be good enough to the point that I get my own hater.

First off this list is like the worse I've seen in six years... Second i saw someone say beal and I laughed.. The only reason I picked klay is bc he is pretty much the the last two way player on the list. Vince should prob be ten IMO.
