SG from Toronto. He's decent, has his moments. Well, at least vs the Knicks he did lol.

Did anyone else read this as "Nets sign Allen Iverson" at first glance? I got real excited for a minute there. Never heard of this dude before.

No joke, I'd probably me more fearful of Brooklyn if they signed Wayne Ellington to a deal, because it's literally as if the dude averages 5 made three's against the Heat.

He's a pretty solid player who doesn't get enough time to show his worth, IMO. I can't believe that a) he went this long unsigned and b) that the Nets picked up another solid player - their team is pretty stacked.

He shot 38.3% from the field last year and 38.7% the year before. He shoots a lot... I see him as a backup in case Jason Terry gets hurt or plays like he did last year.

Getting rid of a player who shot under 39% does not make the Raps one step closer to Wiggins.

That's so far from the truth it's unbelievable, he played WAY MORE than he ever should have last year, plays great defence and is smart player but he's a total ball hog and takes really bad shots.

Raptor fan here, watched almost every game and I will say Anderson will fit great on a team where he is a spot up shooter. Dude played a LOT of hero ball though and always chucked us in or out of games. He's a solid perimeter defender who will fit nicely

Hahah so many people trying to downplay this move. He's not gonna play any major minutes.

Insurance policy if Terry/Livingston get hurt. Our 13-15 guy off the bench. He also torched the Nets last year too haha in addition to the Nets. Adds some floor spacing. Good signing for the Vets min.

I didn't mean as a point guard but someone who can replace their minutes period. We have plenty of players who can handle the ball including jj pierce terry and livingston. He is definitely a shooter though.

He won't have the green light to go nick young on teams haha so I don't mind him as a spot up shooter

As a 13-15 man why not could always use depth. With the luxury tax his vet mini deal is going to cost proky another $4+ million. Gotta love him.

As a backup backup he sounds fine. He's 6'6", streaky shooter, good defender, played point in college though I don't know if he did at any of his overseas stops. Fine, good move, though I don't know that it deserves a thread of its own.

Very true, don't know a thing about him, but others here have backed up a lot of these points. So, fine. He has decent size, so, fine. He's played the point, so, fine. They needed another guy at backup shooting guard and getting a good defender is, fine.

Sounds like hed be a guy D'Antoni would fall in love with. Good thing the nets grabbed him beforw the lakers did.

And to the people saying that if he couldnt cut it on the raptors then hes doomed on the nets thats not necessarily true. In TOR they didnt have the depth to sit him when he wasnt shooting well so he played more minutes than he ever should have. The nets will have the luxury of playing when hes hot and sitting him when hes not, it doesnt make him less of a chucker but at least he wont see the floor when hes not hitting shots. Some players are good players on bad teams and bad players on good teams because they need the minutes and the freedom to shoot to put up good numbers. Some players are the opposite and can flourish in lesser roles on better teams because they need a coach that will restrict their minutes and the roster around them to only let them on the floor when their shots are falling. He probably wont improve his shot selection, but not being on the floor when hes ice cold should improve his efficiency.

He wont be a contributor night in and night out, but if he hits a hot streak he could be a difference maker in a few games. Thats more than you can say for most end of the bench players.

The guy averaged 23 mins per game last year, the whole chucking thing may not even come into effect since he'll only be getting 10-15 at the most. He'll be used to fill in for Terry when needed and hopefully can replace what Bogans did for us last season.

Yup. So Proky most really not give two squats about money cuz i doubt this guy even sees the floor. he will be used as a corner 3 and D guy off the bench for when we face JR Smith types and such. He is also really close with KG

I could see around 13 minutes per game. I think this also sets up for Terry or AK to get some rest prior to the playoffs since he'll be serviceable enough at the 2 or 3.

Calderon was our best shooter but didn't shoot or defend. He is replaced by a healthy contract year Lowry

Lucas was our backup pg when Calderon left and is replaced with a better buycks plus augustin

Anderson is replaced by Ross

Kleiza/ bargnani replaced with hansborogh/ Novak

All of these guys fit a role. Those bums were just scorers who couldn't score.
