I posted a similar thread last year about breakout players under my old SN...
You guys hit the nail on the head with Paul George and Jrue Holiday breaking out.
Not so much on the Demar Derozan predictions though.

Steph Curry is a sure thing barring injury.

Who gets their first ASG nod?

My homer pick is Josh Smith.
Non-homer pick is Demarcus Cousins.

Homer Pick: Rudy Gay - Franchise has pretty much given him the green light for this upcoming season. If this team is in the playoff hunt by the AS break his name might be tossed around.

Non-Homer Pick: Steph Curry, Damian Lillard, John Wall,

Josh Smith making it would be awesome as a Pistons fan.

Steph Curry for sure though.

not when Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Paul George and Luol Deng are playing the same position.....

For all those saying Curry or any other PG in the west, there is a very difficult road to make it. Remember, curry was hands down an all-star last year but did not make it because PG is loaded in the west. Paul is a lock, Parker seems to only be getting better as he ages and is almost a lock, and Westbrook is very good and on a great team so is almost a lock. There are many great PGs in the west who will simply not make it because the position is loaded.

J-Smoove out East. He'll take over many aspects of Detroits offense and contribute defensively next season.

Ty Lawson out West. They lost Iggy and Gallo is out temporarily, so the Denver will have their eyes on Lawson to command and lead the Nuggets to wins.

Now what I really wanna see is how the Centers shape up in the East.
Roy Hibbert, Joakim Noah, Brook Lopez, Al Horford, Tyson Chandler, Andrew Bynum, or Al Jefferson? (Don't count Bosh as a center)

not when Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Paul George and Luol Deng are playing the same position.....

You think Deng is going to make the AS team with Rose coming back & Noah playing as he did?

The last spot is Rudy's to take.

Gay and his horrible efficiency isnt making an all star team.

Gotta like Curry even with all the Guards out west bcuz its just a G spot not PG.

What do those players have to do with Parsons making the all star team in the WC? Also, I think we can count on Parsons to take a much smaller role next season.

And, Josh Smith > Luol Deng in every statistical category (non advanced) curious to hear the reasoning behind him being a better all star option? Team record would be an acceptable response. Not saying either one is better than the other (I'm biased, and I think that Smith is much more talented, but more bull-nosed and not as good of a glue guy or floor spacer).

2014 East players in: Rose, D-Will, Monroe, Sanders, J. Smith?

Al Jefferson. F/C in the East is in flux.

Should see a new shooting guard & SF from the West.

Luck for Gay, efficiency doesn't play a major factor in AS selections.
