View Full Version : Who wil have the best comeback season this year?

Several guys missed all or large parts of last season: D-Rose. Bynum. Baron Davis. Granger. Rondo and Varejao missed large parts of the season. David Lee, Russell Westbrook and Kobe got bad injuries at the end of the year. Pau Gasol, Eric Gordon and Amare battle injuries last season.

Of those players, who do you think will have the biggest comeback? I'll

What does "best" or "biggest" comeback really mean? Like, who will be the best of those guys? Because I think it's Rose then. Who drops off less? Well, I think it's Rose then?

Good question. I wasn't sure what constituted a better comeback myself, so (like the MVP award) I figured I'd let the voters define it for themselves. You could go with best season, or biggest improvement. Both are hard to gauge objectively. D-Rose, Bynum and Davis (if he finds a job) will all go from zero production to something... while Kobe and Lee played very well last year and just got injuries at the end of the season. So it's hard to look based on that. Best season? Likely will be between Kobe and Rose, but none of those guys have show a drop off in production because of injuries, where as some guys, like Amare and Pau both saw decreased production and could improve next year.

I leave it up to the individual voter. I think it's more interesting that way, and leaves more room for discussion as to what is more impressive.

rose obv

rondo of course, all stars who were injured for sure.

But, I think The Knicks have players primed for solid years. Amare and Andrea.

homer for sure, but other than that. I see k love and Rubio finally coming together.

I think Derrick Rose will have the best comeback season. I predict that he will score more points than he did last year.

Douglas! I haven't seen you lately. I've missed your insights.

What about Bynum though? Do you think he will score more points than last year? He may also get more rebounds than last year, while Rose will certainly be getting more turnover than he did last season, and miss way more shots.

I think there are two sides to this argument ;-)

Also Rondo, I think he and the Celtics are gonna surprise some people this year.

Bargs should def be on this list.

Only played 30 games last year and had his worst season ever. I expect him to return to form this year.

Bynum. Most of the rest of the guys are expected to bounce back. Pretty much everyone has said Bynum is done....

It's Rose.

He will be right there in the MVP conversation again! Book it!

There's so many to choose from!
You got Kobe, love, Dirk, Dwight, wade, rose, Rubio, pau, amare, ginobli, Bynum etc...

I'm going with Kobe, Bynum Dirk and pau. Rose will be his normal self again. But I see the first three mentioned having the most to prove. Dwight will be the same as last year.

Here's a good question though. Of the guys mentioned, who do you think will show the most decline?

I could see that happening, but with his minutes limit it would be hard for him to average more than 10-12ppg.

If Woodson was smart, he would encourage Amare to change his game, instead of being strictly a scorer be a defensive anchor with a mid range. Instead of going to Hakeem, go to Antonio McDyess, he'd be the perfect teacher for Amare!

Cause He Missed A Whole Season. If He Returned To Be The Player He Was, It WouldBe A Great Comeback

I'd take Rose, Granger and Love. I don't know what Kobe and Westbrook are doing there, they played the entire season (Kobe almost, but still up there)
