The Detroit Pistons insist Brandon Knight is their point guard.

But that won't stop rumors of Joe Dumars shopping around the league, especially with the expiring contracts of Rodney Stuckey and Charlie Villanueva in his pocket and a free agent signee in Josh Smith who can play either forward spot.

The latest: The Pistons have chatted with the Milwaukee Bucks about a potential sign-and-trade deal involving point guard Brandon Jennings, according to Gery Woelfel of the Racine (Wis.) Journal Times.

The Sporting News' Sean Deveney reports that Jennings does not want to return to the Bucks, but also is seeking a deal in the four-year, $48 million range. http://www.mlive.com/pistons/index.ssf/2013/07/report_detroit_pistons_have_di.html

The shooting on that starting lineup would be laughable.

Yeeaa man, I think dumars is smarter than that. Forget Jennings, so overrated man. I think him and John Wall are like on the same level. Two guys wishing they were stars. Unfortunately for them its pretty hard to be a star pg when there are so many already. You got young studs like Jrue Holiday, Irving, Lawson, and Curry who are gonna be dominating for years to come. I wouldn't say its impossible for Wall and Jennings to be stars one day, but I don't know, they both seem to me that they have this arrogance and immaturity in their game if that makes sense.

For example, Jennings dropping 55 points in his rookie year quickly catapulted him as the "franchise point guard" for the bucks. His a natural scorer but man does he force up a lot of tough ill advised shots. And sure as a leader you gotta get your team pumped up to win a playoffs series but saying bucks can take the heat in 6 was a foolish act if your ***** plays like dirt.

They both want big money but I believe they overvalue themselves. Whats even worse is John wall wants max money. I believe the Wizards are making a big mistake if they end up giving him max. Sure he had a decent rookie campaign. Then the following year...oh god, he really struggled. Showed no improvements in his game and had worse stats than his rookie year. And what annoyed me the most about dude was his John wall dance. When your club is the laughing stock of the nba, as a true leader gotta stop horsing around. There's a time and a place to let loose but he always seemed like he was fishing for attention. All the top 10 pg's bring a sense of seriousness in their approach to the game, and they don't dance for the camera. Leave the showboating for clowns on the bench.
Anywho, both are talented but just don't see them as stars or even top 10 pgs.

Pistons deny the rumors: Magic could make a great pitch: Nelson and Turkoglu for Jennings($11M/yr for 3yrs)..

Jennings thinks he is worth way more than he is. I wouldn’t want my team giving him anything more than 7-8 million a year.

Why wouldn't they go after Rondo?

Cause then they'd have no one in their starting line up that could hit a jump shot.

Don't get me wrong i think he is the better fit of the two but smith is still a head scratcher and they need a 2 that can hit 3's and space the floor.
