This guy was always fun to watch. The guy was insane with the rock in his Sacramento days.

He'd fit in good with the Heat.

He won with Miami in '06 right? If so, how big a role did he play? Or was he a bench warmer? I forget.

He was their starting PG that year. Kind of a Mario Chalmers role though at that time in his career. As a Gator fan I loved Jason Williams. He played with a buddy of mine at Florida, Eddie Shannon. That was a fun backcourt to watch.

Unfortunately Memphis and Hubie Brown kinda ****ed his career, imo.... They wanted him to be a "John Stockton" type more than a. "Pistol Pete" or Magic Johnson type of guard... I used to love watching this guy play and couldn't wait to see what he was going to come up with next... The dude was sick wit' it but they wanted him to tone down the flashy plays and be more of a traditional, run the team, type of guard. But his flashy plays and ball handling was what made him who he was as a player....

From what I remember, he played a solid 30 minutes or so per game, and averaged about 10 per game. He basically played a Mario Chalmers type role and that's about the most valid comparison I can think of.

Even though he is no longer in the NBA, he is still good at basketball.

That's a really good comparison. People will forget that that Miami team got a lot of ringless vets their first title.

Similar to the 2011 Mavs, in a sense, with Zo, J-Will, Payton, Posey, and Walker.

that was probably the 3rd best trade sacramento ever made... after trading for Mitch Richmond and Chris Webber.

Bibby turned them into the best team in the NBA and the would-be NBA champs...but we all know what happened in 2002 that year soooo yeah. My point is though that as fun as J-Will was to watch, Bibby brought stability to that team that J-Will didn't bring. I think J-Will is the most exciting player to ever play in the NBA though.
