Do you guys think Juwan Howard will retire, or will he stay on another year and see if the Heat can win their 3rd in a row?

If you were in the Heat's position, would you want him to stay and be a presence on the bench and in the locker room, or would you rather use his spot for a younger player (Summer League or D-League types)?

He has no game value, so it would be kinda silly to use a roster spot on him. If they/he want to stick around, just find him an assistant job or another part in the organization. It's not as if they're light on experience in the locker room and need his sage advice.

He'll most likely keep sitting on the end of that bench as long as they let him.

My sources that have knowledge of Juwan Howards thinking says that hes leaning towards taking a job in the organization so that a roster spot can be opened

I think the same people that use J-Ho also use Kenny "the Jet" Smith. He was never "the Jet" while playing.

Probably needs to move aside but he would be a very good coach for any team...

If Jason Kidd can get a head coaching job right away, I think Howard would make a good assistant somewhere. He's been through a lot in his career and can offer a team a lot from the sidelines.

i think the heat find a place for him within the organization such as an assistant coach or something. they don't need him taking up a roster spot, time to get a younger replacement in there such as ennis or kabongo. or perhaps greg oden.
