Dude's an amazing competitor and a tough guy and a freak and maybe the game's hardest worker. Problem is that he also seems to really want to be seen as all those things. I'm just hoping that doesn't push him to come back too early. There's no rush, dude.

I just hope he doesn't re-injure himself coming back so soon. Those injuries take time to heal and I would still think it would take a good amount of months if he was taking HGH (not saying he is). As unreal as he is, time is what this injury needs. Wish him the best of luck.

Kobe getting scoring title this season. Just a feeling that with the state of the lakers right now. I don't even care if he's a ball hog the whole season. But seriously I think he puts up better numbers or better yet more efficient numbers.

"Kobe Bean Bryant.

Athlete.

A man barely alive.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild him.

We have the technology.

We have the capability to make the world's first Bionic Mamba.

Kobe Bean Bryant will be that Mamba.

Better than he was before.

Better...stronger...faster (scoring)!

I'm guessing if Kobe does come back that early that he's going to become strictly a spot up sharp shooter.

guys...Iman Shumpert came back quick.

He (Iman) was on the court very early. Us Knicks fans were surprised.

Still, it won't mean he's ready to be back for in game situations. Iman came back and was shooting and doing small things. Then cutting and finally practicing. But even after he came back from injury, it took him like 2 months of playing to get back to 90% of what Iman was before.

So yeah, he's back on the court...shooting pretty much. December at the earliest for Kobe.

ManRam

mid august would be what, like 4 months total? 6 is usually the low end for recovery. beating that out by 2 months would be crazy...in both senses of the term.

hope he doesn't ultimately rush it too much. it would be cool to see him back. it was tough seeing him go down at the very end of the season after giving literally everything he had for a fringe 8 seed. would almost be a sign of positive karma if he was indeed ready in time.

Now though I do respect Kobe and think this is amazing how smart is it? I think he should take half a year off because even if he comes back this team is no better off than they were last year and last year they barely made the playoffs. This year with him they are an 8th seed...Why not rest and make sure you are 100 percent and come back when your team is in an actual position to win. If anyone should be able to do this its Kobe. This rushing back because he wants to lift the world up could be a selfish decision that could hurt the team in the long run if he screws himself with a career ending injury. If I was a laker fan I am not sure I would be happy about this.

Cue the shut the **** up your a hater message lol

Yeah but it's not like he'll be playing games in August you know? He'll just be starting to work out and practice. So he should be fine. I agree with taking it slow, but there's a real chance he could be fully ready to go by the start of the season. Recovery is usually 6-9 months, with 6 months putting it at November. A dude with his work ethic and money for training/doctors could do 6 months, right?

yeah, six months would be just outside the realm of "holy ****, he's not human". six is something that's been done by his peers and lesser athletes alike.

One thing about watching Kobe throughout his career. Kobe makes sure coming back early doesn't risk any future injuries. If he knows playing can create further damage, he won't play it.

He also is an angry player and we all know he wants to get back and prove dwight isnt needed and I love that about him/Jordan/James that when they get angry they go beast Mode. I worry that its a double edged sword and this time he might be pushing a bit to hard and that could hurt him and the lakers in the long run

Believe it or not, Beckham beat Kobe to this. Beckham torn his Achilles in June, and came back in September, on the field. It can be done.

To a point yes. He loves the game and works his *** off. I would rather my stars be like Lebron though who also love the game and have the work ethic and are great but do not drive other players out. This is not to bait but the truth. Kobe is his own worst enemy. He wants stars on his team but hates sharing the spot light.

I respect your opinion but I do disagree to some extent. When the future torch bearer comes along, Kobe will have no problem with that if it means winning more rings. If anything, we can agree that he's a double-edged sword. But the edge facing his opponents sticks out more if you get my drift.
