This is AV team now, which means a full 23 man roster. 8 d-man. McDonagh,Staal,Girardi,MDZ,Stalman,Moore,Falk--- that's 7 who's the 8 guy?
Who am I missing?
It's gotta be Johnson or Bickel for now till McIlrath proves himself.

3 down, 2 to go. It is nice that Slats is doing this quickly. Hopefully he can lock up Step and Zuccs quickly, preferrably before Zuccs gets to an arbitration hearing.

according to capgeek we have 3,330,833
if Powe and asham are traded we have 5,397,500
if Powe and Asham get sent to the minors we have 5,180,833
so we need to get rid of Asham & Powe if we want to sign Step & Zook

That could be the route we go. Also a possible trade of other Rangers. I'm sure they have a plan in mind already because the 3.3 mill probably is not even enough for Step alone.

I personally wouldn't bet against Bickel making this team this year as an extra forward or D. We have no heavyweight fighter at all when Asham leaves, Dorsett is tough and will fight anyone but he's gonna get eaten alive by the heavyweights.

Why is everyone so down on Boyle? Because he's big and doesn't pound people? He lead our team in goal scoring from the 3rd and 4th line in the playoffs this year and last year he almost singlehandedly put out Ottawa until he got hurt. He does the little things right, hits, PK,good on faceoffs, shot blocking and he can chip in the odd goal. At the rate salaries are going for big guys with hands he's a steal at his salary right now and the way this roster is shaping up we need all the hitting we can get.

Being in a contract year, he could have a big season. Last contract year, he had 20.

I hope re- signing him means no more Bickel. Can't stand watching him, such a liability out there. Want to see Falk fill in if need be
