Who do you prefer? Excluding rings of course.

I like Hakeem, and that isn't a knock on Duncan at all. But he was a dominant center in the true era of dominant bigs. He had the footwork of a guard, great all around defensively, and could do it all extremely well. Steals, blocks, boards, assists, points...

I would have loved to see Duncan play in the late 80's and 90's.

Probably a big part of why I liked him was while he was fundamentally sound (like Duncan), he was exciting as well.

lol, please

Hakeem and it's not close.

How can you compare the greatest PF to arguably one of the greatest center and say it's not even close? If you're on the top 5-8, it should be close.

Hakeem and it's not close.

If someone chooses Hakeem over Duncan that's fine, but to say it's not close is just wrong

Hakeem for me, it's down to preference really.

Like both players, both led franchises that never won anything prior to them arriving to multiple titles. I am back and forth on them daily.

Two of the five starters on my all time team. At the apex of their careers, got to go w/ Hakeem.

Hakeem but I don't think Duncan would have been embarrassed the way Hakeem destroyed Robinson in the WCF

Robinson was a better defender than Duncan.
