Lol at "ill go to Charlotte if Mavs dont want me" strategy but would be HUGE for Bobcats to land him, would be the best plater they have had in ages

Al Jefferson is waiting to see what happens with Dwight Howard and the Dallas Mavericks before committing to the Charlotte Bobcats.

Jefferson is searching for a four-year deal starting at approximately $15 million per season.

Jefferson has spent the past day and half meeting with the Bobcats.

Jefferson believes that the Mavericks could make an offer if Howard chooses to sign elsewhere.

Interesting lol. I mean if Tiago is $9M, $15M for Al to get him on a team like Charlotte is more than understandable.

I'd like to see him to the Cats.

60 million for Al?

wow

My thoughts exactly.

If he's looking for that kind of bank, I'd imagine he ends up on the Cats.

Putting up 20ppg for Charlotte ain't going to help them win, but hey, they'll at least score 20 points!

Nah son not for Al

With that price tag, no thanks.

I don't care if he would take 5 million a season, I don't want him in Dallas. He isn't a good fit next to Dirk. IF they did sign him, I'd hope it would be for a reasonable, trade friendly contract.

byron mullens would be cheaper.

another name that hasnt been mentioned that would be a big move signing by dallas is Gerald Henderson. id throw big money at him and pair him with dirk.

this year free agency splitter is making half of lebron's salary, and al jefferson wants $3M a year less than LBJ.

lebron would turn the cats from the worst team in the league to a tittle contender, while jefferson will improve their record by 3 wins

my point is either lebron is underpaid or these guys are way overpaid

T be real both Iggy and Al would take the Bobcats or Kings money, if they both were not damn sure that if the Texas teams miss out, they can swoop in and get paid in better cities. Same goes for Josh Smith with Detorit

Seriously, 4 years 60 million..... he's a nice player but that is just nuts...

I'm really starting to get scared of what people are going to offer Pek, millsap and a few of the other big names out there as far as big men.

As far as the mavs are concerned they would have huge defensive flaws. I mean come on dirk at PF and Al at center?

We saw this a few years ago with Kevin love and Al. It was horrible..... don't make the same mistake as us Dallas.

there's still decent players out there. gereald henderson is the real sleeper of free agency and i would make him an offer the bobcats wouldnt be able to match. he's prob the only good player left i would pay huge money 2. i think he can turn into a franchise player like finley did. his upside is incredible and he's played on a ****** *** team for 2 long.

I'd love to see him on the cats and help them make playoffs but 15 is too high and the cats would need to add more

Jordans pick will seem even dumber if he signs him.

The Cats for 60 mil? sure, they need it.

Though he will probably sign with Dallas for 56.

Interesting. Why would Dallas do this though?

Stop pr hit from trading Dirk. If they don't get anyone this summer after Cuban blew up a title team and wasted Dirks years of his career, he will be killed. And the Dirk trade would be inevitable as Dirk has already said he didn't like the situation they were put in with the blow it up for Deron pitch, which now became blow it up for Dwight.

If Dwight doesn't choose them, Cuban is going to pay some guy with all star stats like Iggy, Al, Josh, Jennings, Monta very well

Didn't the Cavs just draft Zeller who is similar to Jefferson in that they both need to be in the post?

Zeller would probably be a stretch 4 with Jefferson in the post.

Part of me wants Jefferson here (in charlotte) so this team finally becomes respectable. But the other half of me wants to see them have one more bad season in order to have a chance to draft one of the potential stars.

By signing AJ, they are basically saying, "we're ready to start competing again", which is probably a mistake.

An Al is not conductive to a successful winning team.

Or both. But due to the salary cap limitations, you could argue that players like LeBron are always underpaid.

Good pickup for Charlotte, now passing on McLemore seems dumber than ever

60 million for Al?

wow

well did you see SPLITTER and a few other deals thrown out there, damn near 40million for him? child please

it was reported earlier 45 million before the 36 which made way more sense but he is nothing more than a big man version of STUCKEY who signed for like 24mill too much with DET couple yrs or so back

Kemba - Henderson - MKG - Jefferson - Zellar?

I think that team may be a solid 6th-5th seed once their younger core improves. Definitely overpaying though

I don't know if Mavs would be interested in bringing in Bynum after the **** he pulled against Mavs when they got swept. Especially since reports say they are bringing Barea back :laugh2:

I would be able to deal with the upside providing there's some form of insurance on that contract. The Barea ship has sailed with OJ going to Milwaukee.
