Korver doesn't do much for Atlanta. He hits some shots, won't make them much better to have him.

I wouldn't be upset if he went there. Don't see it though. Houston or Dallas.

the hawks would take a chance on howard, but I don't see them going after any more guys with known attitude problems. We are trying to build a team the "spurs" way.

Yea and nothing wrong with that at all :) I'm very interested to see how they look in a couple years.

Thanks! I absolutely love Coach Bud so far! I am surprised he waited so long to take a head coach position.

Im happy we are bringing him back. No other real SF on the roster. No real SF's in FA either. Teague is a dreadful 3 point shooter so we need some space on the floor. Tyreke is gonna be a Pelican or a King..so we can write that one off. Id kind oif rather go after Iggy then Howard at this pooint. Let the big guys you drafted develop.

Teague
Iggy
Korver
Horford
Bebe or possibly sign another FA C until the rook develops

Wont be a championship team but it can be a team we sneak into the ottery with and then we can add some diff pieces next year.

I think being able to work with Ferry again and being assured he's not getting thrown into a bad situation, played a big part in his decision cause he's certainly had teams interest in previous years. He's basically going to a team where he can try and bring over some of Pop/RC's ideas & philosophies, try and implement a system (I think I've heard either he or Ferry use the word system already) and really create a culture of team first and nobody is bigger than the team.

It's a really good situation for him, I hope he does well. It might take a couple years to build something special, but that's all part of the process.

People can knock the Nets all they want. He's a good player but that's a ton of money for a 3pt shooter with not much else. Then again, Dudley had a similar contract and Reddicks is even worse.

This was a great signing by the Hawks. I could only imagine what kind of damage he would have done on the Nets.

If the nets were only giving him minimum $$$ then it was also smart for him to take the extra $$$.

I'm hoping for a rebuild myself as a Hawks fan and knowing how Ferry and Bud has came from the best franchise in basketball the last 2 decades (IMO), building through the draft, I am hoping this is what they do.

Korver could just be a signing to use our cap space for (by league rules), could mean we still "tank". A hot and cold shooter starting could very well be a great piece to land a lottery pick come next draft. Or of course, others' dreams of Dwight coming and needing Korver for spacing.

Could be we are tanking and just needed to sign people for the cap rules. It's a good deal for the Hawks either way. I don't see it as an overpay.

Seriously, $6M/yr. Think abt it, thas a bit over full MLE for a spot-up 3 pt shooter who can't do anything else. Cant dribble, not even 1 move after a pump-fake 3, no defense. imo he is no more than $4M/yr, but it is the off-season of overpaid role players lol.

You have to use 90% of your cap space. Hawks have the most cap space remaining in the league. Going to have to spend it somehow, if it's to tank/rebuild or not.

Bro stop it.
Admit it the dude is a good shooter and that's about it, 6/year is way too much for him.

Just watching the dude run makes me laugh.

well then you have some issue. there are 110 players in the NBA that make more than 6 million per year.

Regardless, the deal isn't bad where you couldn't trade it if need be. If nothing else, it'll become an asset in a year or 2.

A lot of dough for a guy who can shoot threes at a high clip and has no use for anything outside of that.
