Andray Blatche has agreed to re-sign w/Nets, per source. First reported by @PeterVecsey1.

Blatche is returning on a one-year, $1.4 million deal.

Great move by the Nets, and great way for Blatche to stick it to Washington by signing for a low number

Props to Blatche. Def could have gotten a more lucrative deal elsewhere.

Don't give him too much credit. Despite signing for the vet minimum, he's being paid roughly 8 million by the Wizards. If he had opted to leave for a more "lucrative deal" -- which I'm not sure is out there (it takes more than a year to expunge his reputation) -- the maximum amount of compensation he could have received, because of the CBA, is 9 million.

Good move by the Nets. Maybe they will use him properly this year, then again, it is the nets so most likely they won't.

I assume you mean an additional 9 million to the 8mil he's already owned? Because I can totally see him landing a 2 or 3 year deal worth 9 million. Which would mean he's turning down roughly an extra 8 million dollars. I think thats at least commendable. Not so sure I would do the same, 9 million sounds pretty nice compared to 1.4 million....not that i'd be complaining with the ladder.

Good signing.

The Nets have 100% made the most of a seemingly bleek cap situation this offseason. They will without a doubt be challenging Indiana and Chicago for that 2 seed.

....As Prokhorov slips Blatche a few mil under the table for being easy to negotiate with...:smoking:

No you have it confused. The less he accepts, the more Washington must pay him. He takes 1M from BK and gets 8M from Washington. If he takes 4M from BK, yes gets 5M from Washington. He is on a team he enjoys and gets to tell Washington **** you and your amnesty accepting low salaries. Its a smart move that allows him to stick it to the wizards and help the nets be competitive

No, I mean total.

Here. (http://www.netsdaily.com/2013/5/20/4350106/the-math-in-andray-blatches-future)

P.S.: You and I go back, and I know you're still relatively young, so I give you this correction with the least amount of dickishness possible: For future reference, you wouldn't be complaining with the latter (rather than "the ladder").

Haha ehh "sticking it to Washington" though? I mean it's Washington or the Brooklen Nets... I think even they understand.

We'll have his bird rights next year now, which was ideal for him.

Early Bird rights only. You have to be with the same team for 3 years to get full Bird Rights.
