Once, Doc Rivers was close to coaching O.J. Mayo in Boston. Late last night, he talked to Mayo about possibility of playing for Clippers.

Wonder where he fits in the backcourt with CP3 & Crawford.

Im assuming Bledsoe is getting dealt, but does Mayo play backup PG?

Wouldn't really like it for the Clippers.

Good fit. Plays a little D, hits 3's, big enough to manage big SG's. I honestly think he WOULD take a couple mill pay cut a year to play for Doc next to CP3+Blake but we shall see.

I would love a S&T for Bledsoe. Haha. LAC could probably get more for him though.

No he is one of the worst defenders in the league and he is undersized.

He's too young to take a paycut. I am a Maverick fan but I like the Clips as well. For thier sake, I hope this does not happen. They guy is overrated. He is not that good. The only way he can be successful is if you make him the 1st option. It happened in Memphis and it happened in Dallas.

If the Clips is trading Bledsoe to the Mavs for him, then I am down with that, but if they are just going to sign him as a free agent, I hope they reconsider and sign someone else.

Maybe it's changed but in his young years in Memphis he was something of a defensive stopper and at the very least an above average defender. I think he CAN play D and WILL with CP3 chewing his *** out every timeout.

What chuckers are on our roster under contract right now? Crawford wasn't a bad chucker. He shoots a lot but none of his shots really pissed me off. Billups is gone now, Butler is soon to be traded. "Chucking" was never a team issue for us, but rather inconsistent defense and players made of glass.

If anyone can get through to OJ it's Doc and I think with CP3 he'll be much better, Yall *bleep* tripping.

Undersized? He is 6'4, 215lbs how is that undersized? Comparison... Wade is 6'4'' 220lbs

Clippers are nuts if they trade Bledsoe for Mayo

Bledsoe is so much better than anyone he is connected in a trade with. He is a young 2 way player that plays defense, scores efficienty, and is comfortable playing 2nd fiddle to a superstar.

That is worth at least 3 OJ mayos

Yea I'm not down for a trade. Just a MLE signing for him if he buys in.

Clippers now need to get players to fit into the team and system. Mayo does not do that. They have Crawford for what mayo would do. This doesn't make them much better just make them have to distribute minutes between players that play the same game. Going after someone like tony Allen would be way better.

O.J. Mayo is scheduled to meet with the Clippers, Bucks, Pistons and Jazz today in Beverly Hills. He met with the Wolves late last night.

Proof?

He definitely looks undersized. He was 6"3 coming out the draft, so with shoes and some kind of growth I can picture 6"4. But 215? I dont know about that one.

Wade is 6"3 3/4, doubt hes grown considering he came in late so with shoes hes a notch below 6"5. Similar height yes, but Wade is noticeably stronger and longer.

I don't know about this move, unless they want OJ Mayo to be the new 6th man, i.e. Crawford.
Isn't Mayo a bit of a ball hog? Or was that just in Dallas? Dude can light it up, but not consistently.

I don't want Mayo on the Clippers at all. He's too similar to Crawford and not as good. I say HELL NO to a S&T for Bledsoe. Bledsoe is way better than Mayo IMO.

PSD tweeted that the Clippers may be after Tony Allen. Now you're talking!

Marc Stein just tweeted about a Bledsoe-Mayo S&T. Doesn't make much sense for LAC.

Well they better hope one of Crawford or Mayo is willing and able to play defense.

What if we could trade Crawford for him? Impossible right

5:10pm: The Clippers and Mavs are involved in discussions about a Mayo-for-Bledsoe deal, tweets Marc Stein of ESPN.com. Dallas is holding off on a major move until Dwight Howard makes his decision, but the team is becoming increasingly confident that it will find a sign-and-trade partner for Mayo, Stein also tweets

Well in theory that would be a good trade, we'd get younger and more upside. Mayo would fit right into Crawford's spot. That's a great Sim league trade but in reality that's bad form. Crawford is better now and we're playing for now and you can't trade a key piece on your team after 1 year for a guy that plays the exact same position. I don't think the Mavs would go for it anyway.
