View Full Version : Andrea Bargnani, what would you trade for him on draft night?

Is a mid first round pick too much to ask for? like 18th from the hawks

yeah he's had a bad year, but he's still productive, a change of team can get him back to shooting lights outs and at least 14-15ppg off the bench. I don't think you're guaranteed that from a 2nd round pick, which is why I think he's at least worth a mid-first round pick.

I'd hate to se the HAwks go down that road, I'd give a 2nd rounder for him...

Nothing, I'd rather have cap space in 2014

I would only trade a contract worse than his for him like Amare.

I don't know what the Pistons would give up for him or if we should even do anything for him, but I'd think about taking on the contract if it came with another young player or pick. To be honest, I dont know enough about him to really be able to give much of an opinion but I know we have cap space and need to shake up our roster.

2 years, 23 million dollars left. you're not getting a first round pick for that unless the raptors take back another bad contract too. bargs doesn't have a whole lot of value.

the difference between bargs and a 2nd round pick is that the 2nd round pick isn't going to be overpaid or a detriment to any team's cap. the hawks, for example, have no reason to add him and ruin their cap space. they're not contending next year.

Amare and Ben Gordon might be the only guys ......and landry feilds i he were on another team. Possibly the Boozer deal comes up again.

Not really. It would open up minutes for Gibson who is ready to take on the starting role. Plus they would be getting a stretch 4 off the bench who would be perfect in between Noah and Deng. Not to mention they dump some salary in the process.

actually hold the Bacon, that's asking for to much. Would be surprised if they get any value for bargs.

Realistic targets for Bargs could be:

Charlotte for Gordon
Brooklyn for Humphries
Washington for Okafor
Golden State for Jefferson
Lakers for Gasol
Phoenix for Beasley

Those are just some of the possibilities off the top of my head that could work. There are obviously many more options in which other players or picks could be involved.

They dont need bargs, they have Mirotic coming for the 2014 season who is similr but will probably be better than bargs.

he really isnt, taj is best suited as a 6th man.he could start but especially for a team like us who need as much offense as we can get,taj doesnt bring that.and the gap between bargs and boozer doesnt justify the few mil in savings.yes bargs s a shooter and so fits, but lets not act like he's dirk .i'd rather have boozer,so would most bulls fans and probably the org as well

I wouldn't have thought Bargs could net us Booz but the rumours were that you guys offered Booz + Nate for Bargs + Lucas at the deadline.

I'm not saying it was the truth. A rumor is a rumor.. This thread is complete speculation and opinion. I was just commenting saying I dont think the Bulls would decline much by giving Gibson more burn and adding a new element (stretch 4) to their team.

they would decline though, trust me.we had gibson before we had boozer,so could have opted to keep him in the starting role but we didnt,we dont see him as more than a 6th man.and would love a stretch 4,but one that is of decent quality or is cheap which bargs is neither.

i get you guys want to trade him badly, and you guys could, but chicago isnt the pace

Why would the dubs do that when they can sign a max in 2014?

not if they gotta resign bogut, and im sure the warriors are going to try n sign jarret jack to a long term deal after the season he had this year.

the most realistic scenario would be finding someone else who is overpaid and out of favor and swapping. as someone else mentioned a mid first is extremely unlikely unless someone else is involved.

I think the spurs should try trading for him, pop will fix him up. Before the playoffs started, I wanted to trade bargnani for leonard, and now that will never ever occur ahaha

Raps08-09 Champ

Even before this playoffs, that trade wouldn't even happen. Even befor Leonard played his first game, it wouldn't have happened.

Bargs is damaged goods. This guy will NEVER get it. The only way he can be helpful to a team is if he goes to a contender and plays like a spot up shooter taking advantage of the passes from double teams. Other than that this guy does absolutely nothing in a game, plus he costs you some easy points on D. One of the most awful #1 picks ever (hell he'd be a terrible lottery pick as well imo).

dalton749
06-27-2013, 06:57 AM
I feel like he would find his game if he went to san Antonio.
as long as timmy is there he can somewhat mask his terrible help d
and with solid perimeter defenders he wouldn't see as much pressure

plus leonard can make up for his ****** rebounding

Kyben36
06-27-2013, 07:22 AM
im a big fan of the bulls giving him a whirl but only for Boozer and only if they include an asset, such as Terrence Ross or a future first round pick

bulls were rumored to have offered boozer for Bargs last season before his injury sidelined him.

the idea for me would be if he could turn it around we could then hopefully flip him.

Toronto is not going to amnesty him.

I think Casey wants him to stay but coach him the way he wants to.

If dwight walks id trade pau for bargs/a.johnson/derozan. This makes 2013-14 a bust but still lets us sign a max player in FA. In 2015 FA nash/bargs/johnson come off the books and we can go after love/aldrige and/or rondo.

2013 would be terrible with this trade, but it would let us target key FA's two seasons in a row and have derozan as a scorer off the bench for cheap.
