Great news for Nugget fans.

I'll be interested in seeing how he handles Denver's ridiculous depth.

Shaw's not going to be a good coach. I don't see the triangle working in Denver

Not true.... i think i can speak for most nuggets fans on here when i say we were sick of getting outcoached in the playoffs in 8 of 9 years. We dont need 57 wins. We need a coach that can call plays and install a half court offense and doesnt play favorites. Now we have our guy.

You couldn't be more wrong. I wanna see a team that gives McGee the chance to be worth the money. Help the young guys that have potential such as Fournier, Gallo, JHam, Quincy Miller, even Kenneth Faried reach untapped potential. Play Andre Miller less, along with getting rid of the 2 pg rotations. Coach will some edge. Lastly have more guts to bench guys if they play like ****, something Karl never did. Ill gladly be a 50 team be a 6-8 seed and see all those things happen then be a 58-62 win team.

From most Nuggets fans.

Happy to hear he got his 1st Legit chance. The players will like playing for him.

Wish the Lakers had him other than Antoni. No D.

Clippers will make out like bandits as well with Doc. Hollins may get the Boston gig I think.

About time!!!! I'm happy for Shaw he's definitely paid his dues. Good look for Denver. With their roster and his personality I could see another Mark Jackson type situation...

Well said, nuggets have a nice roster and some new blood will be great, look at Mark Jackson and the Warriors.

I doubt that. I'm sure any Denver fan would gladly trade 5 of the regular season wins for a playoff run past the first round.

He is widely regarded as the best young coach out there. What makes you think he is married to the triangle and will run it exclusively?

Its going to be pretty much impossible for him to be worse than Karl and he has the chance to really shine with this squad, im very excited to see how he pans out

Now all Shaw needs, is his own young talented star player ( Curry )... Since people want Shaw to have the same success as Mark Jackson, he would need somewhat of the same tool; correct?

I can see shy filming some of that roster depth, to bring a borderline star or two. I can see him going after Howard (but failing).

Edit**

Maybe a move for Cousins and John Wall! lol

Anybody who says Shaw isn't going to be a good coach doesn't know what they are talking about. Both Paul George and Lance Stephenson credit him for their development.

uhhhh nooo. I would trade 10 of those wins if we could get out of the first round and develop our players more. He will not implement the triangle. He will actually draw up plays while letting the nuggets play their fast pace. Also, he should bring in some defensive system as the Pacers were up there.

Glad he got a job. Would have preferred him as Clippers coach over anyone but Rivers...and ironically Karl.

I could tell you, I would have liked him to be our head coach since phil left.

All players supported him, with Kobe being the first, it means something about shaw.

Shaw is going to be just fine as a head coach. And the Nuggets roster I believe will be a great fit for him.

Karl worked wonders with the team that you had (I'm assuming you're a Nuggs fan from your location), either you're trolling or you're talking nonsense.
