Really good handles+vision for a kid. Check the tape : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jy2elb8QWvY

not bad for a 5th grader obviously. Impossible to tell what will happen to/with the kid between now and the next 10 years though. Will be interesting to see if he is still head of the class at age 16.

I laughed at the "possibly better shooter than dad" because I can see this kid beating Dwight in shooting competitions TBH.

If you can hit a shot outside of 4 feet, you can probably outshoot Dwight.

Wade hasn't showed him how to kick people or throw elbows at head yet. He's saving that for 6th grade lesson.

LOL THIS KID WITH THE BEHIND THE BACK PASSES.

Pretty adorable haha, definitely a bit early to project much of anything yet since he's still so young. Who knows how he might end up growing, for all we know he could hit the jackpot with the genes and end up a 7 footer. It'll be easier to see once he hits puberty but I wouldn't doubt his ability to be a great player.

Best of luck to him but let's see where he's to in 6 or 7 years. Way to soon to talk about 10 yrs. old being future NBA players.

Damn! This is credible for a 5th grader. Unlike most people here, I am more impressed with his handles and vision than shooting. Looks like he passes the ball just like dad and plays unselfish ball like dad.

Whatever happens, let's make sure that this kid never does any kind of activities that may jeopardize his future contracts. GET HIM AN AGENT

Find an article that talks about it rather than just displaying a youtube vid and you got yourself a threadworthy topic.

What about his flopping? Is he as good of an actor as his pop yet or is he still at a 5th grade level?

This isn't new. In soccer, teams have kids in at their academies as early as age 8 from all over the world.

That's damn impressive for a 10 year old. Lots of potential there, but obviously alot can happen between now and 2020 when he graduates. He could stop growing at 5'0" lmao, could blow out his knees etc or just never fully develop. He's got the best shot out of any 10 year old being D Wade's son.

BTW... Why is he wearing LeBron shoes and not D-Wade Li-Ning?

I'm jealous actually. He dribbles and passes better than I can and I'm 26 who plays often. I'm curious to see how good he is 8 years from now. So far, looks like he will be one heck of a PG.

After the way his old man's game dropped this season.. If I was him I'd be asking for a pair of LBJs too :)

People start watching kids this early, recruiting them for college by 9th grade, they get the superstar treatment for 1 year in college, then everyone complains when they get to the league and act like spoiled celebrities.....

How can you guys watch a video of a 5th grade and say he's a better shooter than Dwyane Wade, an NBA player? C'mon. He definitely looks pretty good as a 5th grader. Wow, but lets give him 7 more years before we start judging.

MiamiLoyal926
06-24-2013, 09:14 PM
Those are highlights of his game. I have coached him in past years, and his dribble and shooting aren't as good as it seems. He probably has improved and become more consistent as of late, but he was a little out of control and prone to turn overs last time I coached him. A plus is that he is a lefty. He tends to play more like a pg, looking for the pass more than for his own lane. He definitely has a great defensive game.

Despite his superior game to most fifth graders, I have also coached Gabriel Taylor, Jason Taylor's little brother and is a better pure pg than Z and is in the fifth. There are fifth graders who are unaccounted for in this camp. Just because his dad is currently in the limelight does not mean there aren't others out there.

Wouldn't that be a nice story if Wade's son made it to the league and became a star as well?

He's good for his age but his entitled cocky attitude will hold him back if he doesn't work on his game. And let's not forget this is a mix tape. There is no bad plays shown lol. I mean you can make anyone look good with good camera angles and a tight beat

When threads like this are started that's how you know the seasons over. Lets all speculate how this 5th graders basketball skills will translate to the NBA. I guess someone's bored, but then again so am I while responding to this thread.
