Danny Green has set the record for most three-pointers made in an NBA Finals series, but Chris Bosh was adamant the Miami Heat will limit the San Antonio Spurs guard's open looks in Game 6 on Tuesday.

"[Green] won't be open tonight," Bosh said.

Tony Parker said after Game 5 that he could not believe the Heat continued to give Green open shots.

In Green's mind, if the Heat crowd him more in Game 6, it will lead to additional driving lanes for Parker and Manu Ginobili.

"You have to give up something," Green said, according to David Aldridge of NBA.com.

overplaying on green is mistake. he's gonna into decoy mode and pop is gonna play him so they kill on the offensive glass because of it. Anybody else notice that Green was shooting from 25 feet. put the ba in Manu's hand and he will pick the d apart for layups... late rotation equal fouls and free throws... spurs by 8 tonight after a late heat rally

No problem.. Open lane for Manu & Tony. But it is funny after 5 games this is said lol... where was that after Game 1. Or even prior to game 1, didn't they read any scouting reports on Green??

^lol so true its a little late to START closing out on him now. Regardless, Pop is the best in the biz. He and the Spurs will adjust to whatever the Heat throw at them

They tried to utilize this strategy in Game 3 and got scorched by Gary Neal, so we'll see Mr. Bosh.

So they will collapse on Green who will feed the wide open Duncan and get the Heat in foul trouble? Very nice.

Is Bosh going to guard Green or what? I'm sure Green would gladly say hello to the championship and settle for not making another shot

Good, put all your focus on a spot up shooter. Hope Manu and Parker destroy the paint again. The only thing their going take away is Green from the finals MVP

lol, green's been hurting them, but so has neal. Plenty of shooters on that roster. If you focus one down, there's plenty of other shots to go around. I guess we'll see just how smart Spo is in his gameplan 2nite.

This is CLEARLY a conspiracy by Stern. He wanted Danny Green to set the record for 3s made to make this a historic finals and now that it's done, he's allowing the Heat to defend Green. It all makes sense now.

All you have to do is close out extremely hard on him and make him do anything besides shoot. Any time he dribbles the heat win.

I have no problem with the Heat saying that they won't leave Green open anymore, but why is it Bosh saying this? He isnt the one chasing shooters out at the 3 point line..

Don't get too upset guys. What's he supposed to say, "nah, we're just gonna keep leaving him open"? Haha :laugh2:

Can't play him too tight or Tony Parker is going to live in the lane tonight. Also it's like they just disrespected Green and not even care about him. They haven't made any adjustments on him at all this series. They played him like he was a scrub.

Sarcasm? cause you don't wanna close out extremely hard on him. Over playing him will be a mistake.

Some of the people here must forget what this HEAT defense is capable of. It is possible to take away this outside shot from Green as well as defend the dribble drive, and still defensive rebound. That's exactly what the HEAT did 2 years ago when they defended Rose on the drive, essentially shut down Korver for the entire series, and still battled Noah, Asik, Gibson, and Boozer on the boards.

It's all a matter of "IF" the team wants to put out the effort for 48 minutes. We will see tonight if these guys have the will power and determination.

Bosh: Green won't be open tonight. I'm leaving Duncan open to double Green. I expect he should only be able to score 25 point by the half on 11/13 shooting.
