lol. no, of course not. even if they were to reduce his minutes further, it wouldn't be for tmac.

I agree. They were down by 12 with 3 mins left. Play T-Mac and he'd score 13 points in 35 seconds.

If Ginobli plays like this every game, why not lol

At the same time, T-Mac has never been a major contributor to a playoff team that has won.

People forget this. TMac in his prime was the best SG in the league. 32 PPG on great efficiency while DISHING OUT six dimes? Guy was unreal.

Lucky.

That might be a stretch, although he does have an argument for sure. I'd say TMac is on par with Kobe.

Prime Tmac was also better than prime Wade.

Unfortunately for Tmac, Kobe and Wade have had a **** load of other years where they were far superior.

Haha not mad at all. Longevity at a higher level is better than 2-3 better years.

You mean in this planet's history? As for the thread, anyone would be better than Manu right now. He has been garbage the whole series stat wise.

JB would make this thread

Yes. T-Mac was better than Kobe in the early 2000's. Not really sure how someone can argue otherwise.

Model of health is more appropriate. T-Mac was the best player in the league for those 2-3 years.

But back on topic. The answer is no. The correct play would be having Neal or Green play more minutes instead.

I would take Shaq in those 3 years over T-mac, but yeah he was great. Injuries destroyed him, but he was also incredibly lazy from some of the things we've read/heard over the years (i.e. Jeff Van Gundy's comments)

It really is tough to say who was better in those three years, Shaq or TMac. I would have loved to see those guys play together in their prime. Just great...

Why the **** are we talking about Kobe and Shaq here? It is would Tmac be a better option than Manu at this point.

Shaq was just unstoppable. You put him on any team out East during those years and they'd be a contender in the eastern conference. (Top 3-4 seed guaranteed)

It was a joke :) Although I do think prime T-Mac is as good as prime Kobe and as you said Wade too.

Haha true JB, we've gotten off topic. But like I said, I think the correct play is to increase Neal and Green's minutes while playing Manu less.

Your opinion I guess. Kobe's prime years were 2006-2010. They are both roughly the same age. No way Tmac was better than Kobe in those years. We may define prime differently. I define prime has the height of a player's athleticism and mastery of the game of basketball mentally at the same time.

T-Mac should play for Ginobili. He looked mobile in his garbage time minutes and tried to get everyone involved. Yes he's at the very end of his career, but he can give you 5-10 minutes of productive ball. Maybe even a few vintage plays.

Ginobili is giving nothing. You're telling me a guy who once averaged 32 a game couldn't give 5-10 minutes?

Yes. T-Mac was better than Kobe in the early 2000's. Not really sure how someone can argue otherwise.

That is a laughable comparison. Youre comparing one guy who is a 9-time defensive 1st team selection to another who probably learned defense from Steve Nash. Not to mention Kobe has better toughness, leadership, heart, passion, etc.

Should Miami give Lewis some playing time because was once a good player? T-Mac would lose the game with atrocious defense in just 5-10.

I don't think so, increasing Neal and Green minutes over Ginobili's would be something to consider.
