Congratulations utb....things always get hectic when you're about graduate with gown fittings, rehearsal, etc. haha.

Game 1 is always a "feel out" game. Plus we haven't faced a full strength Spurs team this year. There's the unknown factor that arguably makes this the most interesting series you can come across. We gotta do our best limiting Parker's penetration and getting out to shooters.

I hope Wade and Lebron stay aggressive and attack and that our shooters find the shooting touch just in time.

The defining moment of the game so far. Starting the 4th and playing 3 minutes without Lebron or Wade on the floor. I honestly cannot see why some of you think Spo is a good coach. I wont say he sucks, but he at times looks like he has no idea what is going on in the game.

If Lebron wanted to be passive and get a triple double he sure got his wish. He has just refused to take over this game at any point.

Time to bring up something that has frustrated me the entire playoffs with the heat. Chris Bosh needs to realize that he is not Ray Allen and stop shooting 3 pointers. If he wants to shoot his 18 footers, fine, but not 3's because its absolutely killing them. Why has no one said to him, "Stop Shooting 3's!". They were able to overcome it in other series, but this one will be over in 5 games if he keeps it up. It is selfish on his part to continue to shoot them when he really isn't even average from 3. You're Chris Bosh (the guy who averaged 10 rebounds and 10+ points in Toronto). You are not Dirk so stop shooting 3's because your killing the Heat's chances at winning!

You mean aggressive from the bench correct? Where he was hanging out with Wade as Spo wanted to try a new lineup where Bosh was taking 3s?

What a pathetic way to blow a game. Sad.

Lose on Sunday and it's pretty much over. Why does this team continue to put itself in must-win situations?

Slug3
06-06-2013, 11:44 PM
Spurs got off 6 more shots then us, made 3 more FTs, 1 more shot and we only made them turn it over 4 times. As bad as our offense was, this was the killer for us.

naps
06-06-2013, 11:45 PM
On a night when our best shooters were hot Bosh happens to take 4 three points shots? Don't tell me he was open because Spurs intentionally left him open since they know he's so useless from there.

06-06-2013, 11:50 PM
Series looks like it will go the distance, but we HAVE to win the next game. A bucket load of pressure on us now. It sucks to be in this postion. Hate to see us win and still come back three games to two to Miami and have to win two like we tried with dallas a few years ago

DQL
06-06-2013, 11:54 PM
Looked like 2011 all over again when Lebron had to carry the team throughout the 1st 3 rounds and did not have the same energy level for the finals. Also it could be due to Lebron looked to get Wade touches early to get him going, but took himself out of the game at the same time.

It also didn't help that Wade disappeared in the 2nd half and Bosh was incredibly soft on offense. Stop shooting 3's and attack the rim like a man!!

It's inexcusable that the whole team only had 17 FT's in a home game. It's not the refs' fault, it's b/c they played soft.

Battier needs to regain his shooting stroke asap. He is crucial to this team's success. The Heat need his intangibles to beat a smart team like SA.

06-06-2013, 11:57 PM
Idk man we just need to regroup and learn from this one and NOT go down 0-2

Theres always room for criticism and its warranted, but I'm just gonna see how the series goes.

These guys seem to always pull it off in the end; albeit an unnecessary, self induced, and painful journey getting there sometimes.

Slug3
06-07-2013, 12:01 AM
Also why did Spo play 6 people off the bench? I thought you make the rotation 3 to 4 people off the bench? Why is Spo playing with lineups now in the finals?

kjoke
06-07-2013, 12:01 AM
ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK. Get into Parker too. TBH we played a hella game, and we still lost. It seems that we do in fact need everyone on our team to be on their A game, or we will lose this series

I don't have problem with that, but I have problem that they did not send Bosh to the post and feed him constantly during that stretch. Obviously Bosh was very soft but he was also misused badly.

not really. Joel got playing time b/c Bosh was in foul trouble, and Battier was given a short stint to see if he could get going. He is our 4th best player when his shots go in. Can't completely leave him out.

06-07-2013, 12:31 AM
I don't like that Bosh is falling in love with the three pointers this much. I am still confident Miami can win this but if we go down 2-0 it will be time to worry

DQL
06-07-2013, 12:31 AM
Lebron put up 18-18-10 (all led the team) and still got a fair share of blames. It's crazy how high the bar has been raised.

I think it still goes the distance, but man, why do we keep on doing this to ourselves. Down 1-0 just like last year in the finals, we can comeback and win, but this sucks.

Anyone else see the Spurs getting tired anytime soon or no?

Someone said earlier that they couldn't pinpoint what we did wrong. I can tell u. We were not aggressive enough in the 4th. We did not attack their D enough in the 4th. MM got far too much time in this game, 19mins is far too much for him at this stage of the season and his career IMO. With Battier defense alone should warrant more than 6 min. As far as D we did just what we wanted to do. We held them to 92 pts, all we need to do is turn up the pressure on offense and we will be good. Oh yeah, it also doesn't help when all of ur star players shoot under 50% for the game. I think we r good this was just a feeling out game IMO.

If they keep letting Bosh shoot 3's and Lebron playing soft in the 4th, yes you guys will get swept. Couple of things.

1. Spurs will only get better as the games go on.
2. Bosh should just stick to rebounding/rotations, attacking the rim.
3. Birdman is awesome, he at least tries.
4. Need to build a good lead against these guys to have a chance.
5. Leave the 3's for Ray allen/Lebron james.
6. Wade and lebron need to start/finish aggressive at basket.

my 2 cents

I have a hard time seeing this team get swept by anybody :laugh2: Let's chill a little. All that needs to be said really is that when the game was in the balance LeBron was nowhere to be found offensively which was very reminiscent of the 2011 Finals. He did other things to keep engaged, but when he witnessed 'Rio and others continue to turn the ball over in the 4th quarter, that's when he should've said "alright enough is enough", and become more aggressive. That's all it was really......I thought Wade played pretty damn good considering, and Ray Allen looked like he regained his shooting touch, which is a good sign.

Who expected a Heat sweep? It's one game at home. Spurs now have HCA, win game 2, and at least 1 at SAS. The series is going to 6 or 7 games either way

BigBenhotness
06-08-2013, 03:43 PM
Looking at this series, the heat have to take the next game and 1, if not 2 in SA. Which is a hard feat... Lebron needs to be aggressive in the 4th, and Bosh needs to attack the rim not 3. With that being said, Heat in 6.

note: I'm a heat supporter and a spurs hater :P

I hate seeing all these spurs flags come up out of nowhere once they made the finals...
