I was wondering with the Finals starting June 6th, do they play them every other day like the other series and then take another day off when it switched cities or do they do it differently? The reason I ask is because at my job I work on stuff to do with the games when they are finished and on one the nights I have a wedding and reception which I planned on getting totally *********....so does anyone know the answer? Thanks haha

To answer the other part of your question, the FINALS have a different home/away schedule.

It is known as the 2-3-2 format as opposed to the 2-2-1-1-1 format.

The team with the better record gets to host Game 1, 2, 6 & 7. Meanwhile, Games 3, 4 & 5 (three straight games) are played in the lesser winning team's arena.

Am I the only one that has thought for years that this is dumb? They should all follow the 2-2-1-1-1 format or should at least switch to where the finals is that way and the others are 2-3-2

agreed. IMO this format favors the away team... those three home games in the middle is a big momentum changer.

i agree. but i think it has something to do with the traveling from EAST to WEST, VICE VERSA.
for example a flight from NY to LA is 6 hours.

Yep pretty much. However I don't like the fact that you get 2 days in between in the same city and then when you travel you only get 1 day.

Does anyone know the record of the team with Home Court advantage in the finals record since the 2-3-2 format? I wonder what it would favor.
