View Full Version : Stephen A said Pacers has no chance to get past Heat if Heat keep hot

I just watched ESPN's Sports Center and the host asked Stephen A if all heat men are doing their jobs, which means LeBron being dominant as he is all year ,Charmers handling the ball well, Wade being who he is as explosive as usual, Ray Allen being the clutch factor when the game is tied, Bosh acting less softly and more luckily, the bench players contributing, like tonignt's UD, then what can Pacers do to stop them?
"No. next question" Stephen A replied without a second thought.
Guys, a well organised Heat team is unstoppable, right? remember? they just climbed to the height of the second longest winning streak of all time!

No ****. I don't think any of the other 28 teams can stop Miami if they keep hot either.

What's the point of this thread? Other than stating the obvious this means nothing

I think for the Heat to succeed, Ray Allen and Battier and their plethora of 3 point shooters have to hit those 3's

their plethora of 3 point shooters really puzzle me sometimes, cause this will make it a small team ,which will push them to the dangerous side when facing the big guys like the twin towers, Gasol and Zach

Well no fu**ing ****. If ANY contender shoots 65+ percent or w/e for a full series nobody is beating them. Has nothing to do with it being Miami.

SAS is an idiot and no one should care what he says

but you have to admit that they have a better chance to do that

I don't think Miami has to worry about Zach and Gasol. It's going to be a SAS vs Miami matchup and quite frankly, Miami will have an easier time against SAS.

lebron will do his thing. as long as either wade or bosh have a solid game too, and the rest of the supporting cast finds some way to score, which usually means battier, cole, chalmers, and allen hitting threes, the pacers aren't going to win.

last year it felt that when those guys were missing from three the team was beatable, but when they made a decent amount they were utterly unbeatable. it's the extra piece that can put them over the top against any team.

in game 1 the threes from the supporting cast weren't falling. they still managed to win because wade and bosh were OK, and lebron was lebron.

game 2 was kinda the same, except bosh and wade weren't as good. only 4-15 from three for the supporting cast.

last night haslem kinda filled in the three point void with his jump shot, but 6-14 from three definitely is a huge reason the game got out of hand.

the supporting cast hits their threes, and assuming lebron is lebron, and the pacers have no chance. i really think it's almost that cut and dry.

obviously if they "keep hot" the pacers aren't going to win.

Do you know how much that is asking though? That's like saying if Duncan and Ginobli get into a time machine and their supporting cast has their best 3pt shooting effort they cannot be beaten.

Obviously. So far they have been hot for 1 of 3 games this series, we will see what happens the rest of the way. Personally I hope they go a bit cold as the first 2 games were awesome to watch.

Sure Miami is the best team so them at their best>other teams at their best but if let's say the Grizzlies, Spurs or Pacers shoot 60+ percent every game they will win the title too. So it's just a pointless statement.

If all the pacers shut down their defensive assignments, if Hibbert and west get their rebounds, if George plays like a star and hits buzzer beaters then the heat are going to lose the next 3.

If LeBron scores more than 30 every game he will average more than 30 points per game

ESPN needs to get some different people in there to talk about basketball.

Yes, and according to Wiz Khalifa the ocean is wet, "get you wet like the ocean" (Beat it, 3).

Stephen A Smith: Pacers stood in South Beach after Game 2 instead of heading right back home.

Only one analyst even voted for the series to go 7. We will see tonight if it indeed does go 7.
