View Full Version : What finals would produce the worst/best ratings of the remaining teams in playoffs

Would Memphis vs Indiana in the NBA Finals be the worst finals ratings wise? It would be a good series, but as far as ratings would anything else be worse?

Also what would be the best possible ratings? Would New York in the finals produce better ratings than if Miami was in the finals?

Best ratings: Miami vs. Golden State

An extremely likable underdog against America's most hated team.

Best: Miami vs GS
Worst: Memphis vs Indiana

Knicks won't produce enough ratings over Miami, because Knicks roster doesn't feature LeBron.

I think the best would be Heat/Spurs. It just has the most star power, and would be a rematch of LeBron vs. Duncan. Worst is Memphis/Indiana

Most ratings i guess G.S vs Knicks biggest markets in each conference remaining.

second for Spurs vs Heat.

Worse rating would be Grizz vs Pacers.

G.S vs Knicks best ratings

S.A. Vs Heat worst ratings

Grizzles vs Pacers

If David Stern was truly rigging the league, the best move would be for him to somehow make the finals Knicks vs Heat.

Say I'm not a "purist" or a real fan all you want, but if it's Grizzlies-Pacers, my attention will be better served elsewhere.

Rockets vs Heat woulda been epic. :(

The NY market is big, but at times. That accounts for NYC not all of the world. Melo is a star but what the NBA would kill for is

A) LeBron vs Durant

B) Lebron vs Curry

So I'd go w/ Miami vs Golden State, style of play + youth and marketability. Mark Jackson essentially vs the guy's philosophy he's been preaching this entire playoffs, which is Pat Riley. Student vs the super team his teacher built.

GS vs Knicks would probably generate the most

Memphis vs Indy probably the worst

Oh what the NBA dreads is

Indy vs Memphis. They'd drink some major alcohol if that ended up the NBA Finals. :laugh2:

Thunder and Heat

Grizz and Indiana

New school best: Miami vs. GS.
Worst: spurs vs Indiana

Old school best: bulls vs grizzlies

Best: Miami vs GS
Worst: Memphis vs Indiana

Knicks won't produce enough ratings over Miami, because Knicks roster doesn't feature LeBron.

I wouldn't had thought that either beforehand until I saw Melo had the #1 jersey's sells in the US.

Bring NY to the finals and everything is all good as far as ratings go. That is highly unlikely though.

05-13-2013, 08:24 PM
I say heat vs sa best ratings but if ny pulls this off vs ind then Knicks heat ratings are gunna top any finals combination there is. I dare someone to disagree with that

America's newest darling Stephen Curry against the Heat would garner the most. And it would be the most entertaining.

05-14-2013, 09:38 AM
Best Ratings: Thunder vs Heat

Worst Ratings: Grizz vs Pacers (would be a fun series for bball purists tho)

Stern isn't concerned about this outcome...

He already has his army in place to ensure it doesn't happen :smoking:

I would rather see a GS-Pacers or Memphis-Pacers than a big time match-up. Time to crown a new winner.

lol, please
05-14-2013, 04:49 PM
Warriors vs Bulls and it's not close. I agree with the poster above. We want a new winner.

05-15-2013, 02:04 AM
spurs vs HEAT WOULD NOT BE THE BEST RATINGS. most finals that featured the spurs had low ratings

05-15-2013, 04:19 AM
Worst : Indy vs Memphis

Best : OKC v Miami, Spurs v Miami, GS v Miami
You get a..
Lebron/Durant rematch
Veteran Spurs team trying to win their 5th ring and prevent Lebron from his 2nd
The young, fast paced, exciting Warriors taking on the big bad champions. Also, big market in Cali for the casual fans.

05-15-2013, 12:17 PM
I'd love to see Memphis/Indiana, pure basketball

05-15-2013, 12:46 PM
best ratings-Heat-Thunder: Lebron vs. Durant II with no Westbrook and a hobbled Wade, so it would really put the emphasis on Lebron vs. Durant.

worst ratings-Grizzlies-Pacers: can anyone say, worst Finals ratings ever??!?

best NBA Finals we could see-Heat-Spurs: Everybody is up on Memphis, but I think San Antonio is the only team that could beat Miami, personally, I'm dying to see a Heat-Spurs NBA Finals.

Heat vs. Warriors would also be a fun Finals. I don't think the series would last that long, but the games would be fun.

Best: Miami/San Antonio
Worst: Indiana/Memphis
