Game 2 was on Tuesday. 4 day intermission? Odd that CHI/MIA and NYK/IND are playing again tomorrow instead.

:sigh:

That is a little odd. I know 3 days inbetween happen but 4 is strange. Unless Memphis already had something going on in the arena.

Maybe there was a scheduling issue?

piss poor scheduling

This long break comes from the fact that the league wanted the game 1s to start on Sunday. Both Indy/Knicks ended their series on Friday in game 6. League then forced them to play matinee o. Sunday instead of playing on Monday as they were supposed to.

Game breaks would have been ok if it started Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. But instead we got Sunday/Tuesday wi a looong wait till Saturday

It may seem odd on the surface but we must keep in mind the venues being shared venues with other potential events causing scheduling conflicts. On the other hand maybe the dates were moved around a little for other reasons.

I'm not sure what the venue issues might abound, but it's not just the OKC/MEM and CHI/MIA that got mixed up. SAS/GSW and IND/NY did as well. It seems intentional on the part of the NBA.

My best guess is that they simply wanted to have the LBJ games on Firday and Sunday because those are days that more people watch basketball (apparently Saturday ratings are not that great), though with that logic one would assume that they would want KD or Melo/NY playing the same night as well. I dunno.

I know if I were a Bulls fan I would be suspicious, knowing that Rose might suit up and the league giving the Bulls less days to rest before their home game than other teams are getting (though GSW have the same issue going on there, both with Lee's injury and rest before their homecourt game).

The NBA has done this a lot in the past. Not sure as to the reasoning. They should at least announce what the reason is so that it doesn't seem so suspicious.

ABC wanted a piece of dat Knicks game. Thats what happened.

The mix up occurred because ABC wants the MIA/CHI game Sunday. That means at some point during the week the games had to alternate putting OKC/MEM on Sat.

Well this is good for us.
1.Our bigs need the rest.:injury:
2.We already miss our open 3s and shots so rust is not a issue :lift:

Bulls/Heat don't play Sunday. They play Monday. Maybe because of mothers day and all? idk

It would make sense if today played Mem/OKC and NY/Indy and tommorow Mia/Chi and GS/SA. Each team gets 3 days to relocate the series.

Ya, and I know for the fact that NBA and NHL want to avoid scheduling Bulls games at the same day as Blackhawk games.

Makes every night fun for a Chicago fan right now. :)
