Don't think the Spurs will lose this game.

Curry played 58 minutes in game 1, that is WAY too many minutes for him. Keep him on the court for that long and he ends up becoming a liability, especially against Tony Parker.......

Spurs once again showing why they are the model franchise in the NBA, and why Pop is the best coach.

All signs for me point to a Spurs win. They have to take care of business and not give GS any confidence. Easier said than done.

The Warriors have competed Hard in all of their Playoff games. The have 3 losses in the playoffs so far, losing 2 of them by 2 points and one game by 7 points.

ESPN had a great stat. The team that blows a 4th quarter lead by 15 points or more, wins the next game 100% so far.

Getting these guys healthy is #1. That appeared to be our biggest problem last game, a lack of a strong interior shot-blocking presence.
I'm drooling at the thought of how much better a healthy Duncan, Splitter, and Diaw are compared to Bonner/Blair

Definitely... Blair was a disaster in the couple minutes he had, just so bad defensively. Bonner was good last series, but I don't know if he'll have that same success against the Warriors.

I could see Bazemore getting more minutes in game 2, if the Warriors need another Wing Defender.

Klay Fouling out with 4 minutes to go and Having Bogut really hurt the Warriors in game 1. Parker had a field day the last 4 minutes. he didnt have anyone who could stay in front of him and no one to block his shot.

adjustments will be made.

I dont know if id be Drooling over him, but Bazemore might be the wild card or X factor for the Warriors. He would do well against defending the 3 pointers. We all know the Warriors will put up the points, Im not worried about that.

We just need to keep up the Defense and Rebounding. and make FREE THROWS!

Im still mad at Pietrus missing those 2 free throws in Utah in game 2 of 2007. now RJ is on my **** list.

More like 30 straight wins against GS at San Antonio. Call me crazy, but I think the team that always wins will probably win the game. Just a hunch I have. Usually the team that wins the games ends up winning the game.

warriors played out of their mind, and still lost.

They really didn't though. Jarret Jack was terrible, nobody could make a free throw (for an 80% FT shooting team to shoot under 60% is unheard of), and the breaks simply all fell SAS's way in that 4th quarter run (compounded by terrible decisions by GS and solid execution from the Spurs).

Although I wouldn't say we're the better team, we can definitely beat the Spurs, and I DEFINITELY would not expect another 5-20 from Ginobili, but it's clear we can defend him well with Klay and co. like I had hoped.

I think the Spurs will really bounce back and play more efficiently than they did. Tony, Timmy, and Manu all struggled from the field, and Tim frankly wasn't himself. He was so slow out there, and although he is old, that's not how he's been moving all year.

It'll be interesting to see how each coach adjusts for this game

Should be interesting. Don't think the Warriors will shoot as good as they did from the field, but definitely not that poorly from the line again. Don't think Manu/TP will shoot as bad either, and having a stomach bug less Tim will definitely help.

Best bet for Spurs defensive wise is to force Curry to dominate 1 on 1 in my opinion, if he takes heat check type shots, similar to the ones he made the other game..then we tip our hats to him and say good job. Don't want to see guys like Thompson, Jack, and Barnes get going. On pick and roll, the switch showed effectiveness with Diaw last game, though unsure how much of that was Diaw playing good D or Curry just having tired legs. Otherwise whoever the big is needs to hedge hard and not let him see any day light.

Kind of like how we played Steve Nash. Rather him score tons of points then get all the teammates involved. Pop tends to rather have one player beat the Spurs.

tredigs
05-08-2013, 07:57 PM
Klay's hopefully due for a big 3pt shooting night. I don't see another goose egg out of him and Jack.

You can't really guard Curry 1 on 1 too much with as little space as it takes him to get his shot off and how good of a dribbler he is in creating that space. But I agree it's an issue to worry about the double creating open looks for Jack/Klay/Barnes (which is why it's important Jack and Klay actually hit them as they can this game). He's an insanely tough matchup, I don't envy that one for San Antonio.

I'm just hoping Splitter's still out and Duncan's still slow. We missed D. Lee's offense late last game for sure, so it's only fair you guys are not 100% ; ]

I know Curry and Thompson are damn good shooters..but are they really going to keep hitting them consistently? Specially with some of the shots Curry takes..I mentioned before. If he takes tough contested shots and makes them, tip your hat off. Just hope tired legs happen again and those stop falling.

Except those are regular shots for him.

Yea the Warriors are the better team. They have the better players.

Jarrett Jack is a such a luxury off the bench. I mean he's clearly been the best 6th man of the year. JR Smith deserved the award, but when you take into account how huge Jack has been in the playoffs, I mean he is really the 2nd most valuable player on that team.

No way the Warriors can afford to lose him in the offseason.

Including 3 years at Davidson and 4 with the Warriors, Curry's 3PT %s:

He's been taking and making these shots his whole life, people are just now starting to notice.

It effected his shot. Getting hit on the fingertips or wrist don't really mess your shot up all that much but if your hit anywhere on the arm it can mess up your shot a lot. That's why it was way to the right. But who knows man. Bad calls go both ways. I think that call was the right one, but we'll agree to disagree. :)

Adele is awesome! Not ashamed.

Except Klay wasn't trying to run train. All I see is the Dubz players are learning to play potential championship contending ball.

She is :)

Duncan is annoying in a weird way. He's not that vocal and emotional but I honestly he complains the most in the league about foul calls. He won't yell but he will just stare down the ref after every offensive possession.

The 3rd foul on Bogut was a cheap one that should not have been called. He deserved the 4th foul though...
