Its about time Knicks had a flopper. Hes played Olympic ball with Andres Nocioni, Scola and Ginobili all those years, your gonna learn a few tricks.

And come on dude, the best player in the world had many multiple award winning flops last year, theres no shortage of them on the internet, Heat fans have no place to talk **** about floppers. You guys have like 5 of them on your team including all 3 of your big 3.

C'mon, last year LeBron had one of the biggest flopping campaigns by a superstar in NBA history. It's well documented. He has cleaned it up this year, I'll give him that. And Bosh has THE most infamous flop in NBA history with Boozer, so he must be added on there, and I personally don't consider Wade a flopper but the fact that he falls on every layup leaves him fair game.

Heat did clean it up this year though. I will give them that. Last year was pretty pathetic at times for such talented players to resort to flopping their balls off.

I think the Knicks can match or at least come very close to matching Indiana's D. We are better defensively than our season average suggest, I like to think our 4th quarter defense is more telling of our playoff defense. Both teams are going to lock it down on D, its going to be tough to score, most of the shots will be contested, we have the two best guys at hitting contested shots on our team.

I think it will look a lot like the Cs series. Probably with the same end result except without the 3-0 start, 2-0 scare. Probably more of a conventional 6 game series.

Well NY has HCA, and IND is not a good road team.

NY is 4-3 against IND since Woodson took over, including 2 dominating wins last year in a back to back set. This year Melo & Felton both missed a game in which IND only won by 5. Series overall was tied at 2 this year.

Knicks won 5 more games despite having a ton of more injuries.

Knicks have the best player in the series.

I have NY in 6.

EDIT: and lets not forget NY has Kmart now who has been huge for them and is just the kind of player they need against IND.

Amare also should be back for game 3.

I'm going with Knicks in 5 or 6. Indy is not a good road team, Knicks are one of the better home teams.

Indy is great defensively, but this year's Knicks squad is as well. Should be physical and intense, but the Knicks have the better offense and they can also defend. More complete team.

Shumpert vs George should be a really fun matchup to watch.

Indy matches up better for us than Boston because they have no front court perimeter players at the 4/5 like Boston had with KG/Green.

It's basically going to be a low scoring series where it comes down to Melo/JR and West/George scoring.
Indy isn't a good road team. Should be a good match to watch though.

Boston is championship tested, something Indiana has yet to experience. They are very susceptible on the road so if we can win on their home court, we got this series.

The Pacers defend well, but have even more trouble scoring and shooting than the Celtics and their best players have less experience.

The Knicks actually have more experience and a better Offense and have proven to play great D in these playoffs...

I could be wrong, but watching that game 6 between Indiana and Atlanta, I thought I saw the Pacers going with a 2 PG lineup for a good portion of the game with Hill and Augustin in at the same time. I could see why they would try that out and get accustomed to it, because in order to match up well with the Knicks, I think they must do that. Stoudamire coming back could truly be a blessing in disguise for Indiana because it will allow them to match up much better than without him, and will allow David West to stay on the court longer. How I see it unfolding, it will be Hill and Augustin vs Felton and Prigioni/Kidd, Stephenson on Smith/Shumpert, George on Anthony and Hibbert on Tyson. Now where will David West fit into all this? If they leave West in, who can/will he guard? I dont think West is agile enough to guard a guy like Melo at all, so I got Knicks in 6

I'm gonna say the Knicks probably take this in 6. They have more talent than the Pacers and I think losing Granger was a huge loss for them.

I don't think Paul George can do much of anything against Shumpert and Tyson and K-Mart should be able to limit West and Hibbert somewhat.

Pacers got this series. I am fairly confident this is over in six games.

The Pacers are horrible on the road so I don't know why you're so confident. That includes 2 games in the 1st round against a clearly inferior team where they were destroyed on the road. And then in game 6, like the Knicks, they almost blew a large lead on the road. That of course is in addition to their 19-21 record on the road during the year.

Unless they suddenly figure out how to not play poorly on the road, I don't see why they'll win this series. Keep in mind, for a team you're so confident in, they split with the Knicks in the regular season and lost both games on the road.

PatsSoxKnicks

Knicks in 5 , Indy not as tough as Celtics .....

This is exactly why every non-Knick fan is picking Indy. There's so many massive Knick homers on this site that annoy everyone with their blatant homerism that every non-Knick fan can't help but try to balance it out and pick against the Knicks and not give them credit. If some of the Knick fans on this site were a bit more rational about their team, opposing fans wouldn't feel the need to degrade the Knicks to balance out the homerism.

I suppose. But I'd prefer if everyone was able to be a bit more rational. Don't really like the extremes.

Rationally, if I were looking at this series- I'd say the Knicks have the higher ceiling but also the lower ceiling. Mainly because of their offensive variance. You either get the ball movement, spacing great offense with the Knicks or you get the heavy isolation offense where they struggle to score (like the 1st round). In addition, their defense was highly variable through the season as well- ranking 15th overall in defensive efficiency but 4th in DE in the 4th quarter. That 4th quarter DE is an indication that they tighten up D when it matters, which happened in the 1st round (Boston's offensive issues aside, not like Indiana is much better on offense anyways). However, there's still that high variance game in regards to their offense. If they have the ball movement on offense, I would say they're definitely better than Indiana as a team. But if not, Indiana is better.

As for Indiana, you know their defense is very consistent and that is what they mainly win with. They were 1st in both home and road defensive efficiency. With offense, they were also inconsistent but regardless of whether they were home or away, they were middle of the pack to bottom of the pack in offensive efficiency (16th in home OE, 23rd in road OE). Obviously when Paul George is going well, their offense is much better but unlike the Knicks offense, I wouldn't say their whole strategy changes (as I said earlier the Knicks either play with ball movement or play with isolation).

I do think for all the posters who are convinced the Pacers will win, they should take a look at the Pacers road record. And for all the Knicks homers who think the Knicks will win in 5, did you watch the last series where the Knicks offense was so iso heavy? If that happens again, the Knicks will be in trouble. But if they play with the ball movement that they can play with, they should fare better.

It should be a great series that I think will go 7 games. And I think HCA will be the big difference because as I said, Indiana is not good on the road.
