Nah, I dont really mind who comes out. I just want the series to go 7 games so the team we face will be exhausted. We had so many days off that I'm confident my HEAT will beat the Bulls is 4 or 5.

Let me put it like this, teams have different players each and every year. This current team isnt the team that lost to the Heat the first game out of the 12 and the heat team isnt the same. You cant base it off that, you need to base it off of the matchups. And I dont mean to disrepsect the heat the champs but they are praying the bulls win tonight.

You get banned, comeback and Nets With HCA are down 2-3.
I ain't down playing anything, Nets did this to themselves.
And as Ive told you many times Brooklyn is as healthy as they likely will ever be given their entire starting 5 injury History.

On the surface it's impressive, but when you really look into it, it's not that impressive.

1) Deng isn't that good anyway, 13.8 points on 38% shooting. Replacing that type of production isn't all that hard, and he isn't exactly guarding LeBron, he had a very easy defensive assignment.

2) PJ Carlesimo could coach the showtime Lakers and lose to these Bulls.

deng is very good, he affects the game in more ways than you think... and even if he is shooting 38 % that's still 14 ppg they have to replace on a offensively challenged team right now.... ultimately it is on the players, it looks to me like PJ has the right guys out there. if joe Johnson and DWill want this they will go and get it

krisxsong
05-02-2013, 09:09 PM
Also, are you guys REALLY that shocked that the game is close and high scoring?

1) You subbed in Bellineli for Deng. Thus you get more offense, and less defense. You also get more floor stretching and Wallace can't guard Bellineli.

2) You sub in Kirk for Nate. Nate is a sparkplug offensively and you take out Kirks defense.

You guys can't be THAT shocked.

So how does Deng affect the game offensively?

Stretch the floor? Nope he's horrid from the 3pt line this series.

Passing? Meh.

Attack the rim? Nope, not this series.

So if the Nets lose that means JJ and DWILL didn't want to win and if they win that means they wanted to win? That's pretty dumb....

Bellineli is a better offensive option. Much better shooter, stretches the floor, sees the floor like a PG, unselfish, and Wallace can't guard him.

The game of basketball isn't 5 guys playing 1 on 1. Theres a thing called 'team defense'.

I'm mostly focused on his offense, but defensively I don't think he's that important in this series.

1) Kirk can apparently shut down DWILL

2) Butler can handle JJ.

3) Boozer/Noah can handle anybody that isn't JJ/DWILL

4) Thus, Deng's team defense isn't all that important this series cause really the Nets don't have many players you need to guard.

Well it's halftime, anybody can play a large bulk of min in 1 half of a basketball game so no depth isn't an excuse there.

I for one am NOT that shocked that it's high scoring and that it's close because

1) The BUlls subbed out their defensive, no offense players for the polar opposite.

2) The Nets are coached by PJ and the Bulls are coached by Thibs. This is honestly like Dennis Rodman vs Travis Outlaw. No joke.

I never said Hinrich and Deng are not good players.

What point are you trying to make? That the BUlls are better? I picked the BUlls to win this series 4-1 and lose over 200 bucks in bets because of it. I know the Bulls are better, the Bulls are FAR better. I'm honestly shocked the Nets are even in this position even with the Bulls injuries, the Bulls should feel embarrassed that the Nets are in this position.

I blame about 90% of this teams faults on him.

I don't think PJ is a stellar coach by any means, but lets not act like the Nets are a 60 win title contender with a different coach. PJ is not the root of all their problems. There are some severe fundamental roster flaws on that squad, and the personalities don't mesh. There is no personality to be honest, so they probably need a coach that can provide that type of emotional spark like a Doc Rivers or a Mark Jackson. PJ is just as bland as the roster.

Do they have an advanced metric for heart? Something tells me Bulls would be at the top and Nets at the bottom.

Let me guess its PJ's fault that Nets have none of it.

When did I ever say that? I never said that.

Also, there is no such thing as heart. It's a word to glorify the perceived effort level of a given team/player.

So when you see a guy like Noah scream everytime to dunks or Nate pound his chest and scream everytime he makes a jump shot, it seems like they're giving more effort but you can't say they're giving more effort than a guy like Gerald Wallace who isn't rah rah or JJ who looks like he's half asslep

you do make a valid point. Although you never know. These are post moves that don't really need quickness it's more about form and footwork.

I think a guy like Arvadis Sabonis could teach Brook a thing or two, especially in the passing game. 7 footers can be lethal in the high post passing game because they have the advantage of seeing everything unfold from above.

If you truly believe heart doesn't exist your doing yourself a disservice when watching sports. Its not about pumping your chest, Tim Duncan and Jason Kidd play with more heart than nearly anyone I've ever seen play the game.

So explain to me what heart is and how it's measured because I think it's the biggest BS term in sports.

They all said Eli Manning has no heart, until he won two rings.

The need for everything to be measured is ruining pro sports. You can't eliminate the human element of sports.

I would like an individual answer for each.

People say Brook Lopez doesn't play with heart.

He played through the entire season a few years back on a ****** team while going through mono losing a reported 25-30 pounds.

People say DWILL doesn't play with heart.

He played through the first half of this season with two ankles that were so banged up that he couldn't dunk or barely walk up a flight of stairs.

People say JJ doesn't play with heart.

JJ is playing through plantar fasicitis.

SO no I don't believe there is such a thing as heart. If anything, heart is just a fancy word for perseverance that makes the player look so much better in terms of image.
