A 17-year old named Mitchell Brown, who according to his Twitter bio is a ballboy for the Oklahoma City Thunder, said he was going to kill Patrick Beverley, and then 7 hours later sent the same threat to Beverley himself.

x1,000,000. The mental anguish and turmoil people suffer from death threats is so under-publicized. I can't imagine what it was like for Patrick Beverly to have to read that. There are enough ****ed up people in the world that you can't just ignore it.

OKC has a ******, crazed fanbase so not surprised. They are right there with Portland, Memphis and Utah where their basketball team is the meaning of their entire existence and they function like a cult. I wouldn't be surprised if an OKC fan pulls a gun next time the Rockets are in OKC.

a 17 year old, most likely 5'6", 145 lb asian kid? Hell, let him have a shot, Beverly will eat him.

Smaller markets with less to do? Not sure. I'm just saying their fans are ridiculously GOOD for their team and loud but also psycho. I remember one time our player got injured in Portland and the fu**ing fans were cheering! I was so pissed.

Each of those cities has only one professional sport for the entire city to care about, so all the sports fans are focused on one team, versus 2-4 teams. That means a lot of a-hole fans all in one sport.

There's been Olympic athletes that quit because of cyber bullying. No joke.

There will be extra security the next time Beverley comes to OKC. They seriously need to handle this. It's basketball and no one should have their life in danger because of an accident.

THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the only good that could come of this. Wasting the time of police or judges and burning tax payer money won't do the public any good.

I feel the internet is bad for this younger generation. I mean I'm not that old (21), but even teens born in 2000 and beyond are inclined to think that the internet is some sort of gateway that blocks interaction with people. This is the same as calling someone's house and threatening to kill them, which of course anyone would call the cops on.

Beverley is lucky I wasn't in the crowd at that game. The worst thing you can do in this universe is get on the bad side of Oklahomans. People here don't play games. You can be our best friend until you upset us and then you're our worst enemy. It's sad but it's true. That's the nature of sports and passionate fans. Remember last year when Artest elbowed James Harden? Trust me when I tell you....that dude should be thanking his lucky stars that he didn't end up in a dumpster after that crap. Now he's on our crap list forever. Of course, he doesn't care because he's a lunatic and nothing affects lunatics, but still.....it's gonna be with him every time he plays in our arena for the rest of his life. And let's just say Beverley is on our watch list now. Don't be surprised if he catches a few hard fouls next time he plays here.........although it might not be until next year. We might give those little pricks what Miami gave the Bucks.
