No. I wish though.

Could they? Yes. Will they? I don't know.

I just put Rockets in 7, but it's doubtful.

Yes, they are able. We'll see if they actually do it.

Rockets fan here...think we'd have a shot if the series were 1-1...

but being down 0-2 just seems too steep...i think we'll push it to 6 games....durants about to average 45 ppg so theres that

If they won that game two, I'd say Thunder in seven.

I will just say Thunder in five now.

Yes and they will. Westy is a solid defender and offensive weapon, you lose alot by losing him. Durant can pick up some of the slack and Reggie will be fine starting, but you lose bench depth now. That is my opinion at least.

Nope. Memphis or clips can take them out for sure though

Some here predicting he might be back mid 2nd round, even then it might be too late. And will he have his usual explosion right away?

DreamShaker

Too little, too late. Lin is banged up, they are getting nothing from the 4 spot, and the bench has been mediocre at best, besides Beverley. Too much to overcome that 0-2 hole. The Thunder are too good, and this is still a bad matchup. Harden has been bad besides the 4th quarter of game 2, and Ibaka just changes the way he shoots. I wish I felt more confident, but I don't.

If they could have got that last game then maybe they would of had an outside chance, but I doubt it.

If he's healthy enough, I honestly would not be shocked. So much of that is mental from what so many have said, and he is a warrior. I don't think he holds anything back.

Voted for Thunder in 5, but I'd like to see the Rockets take it 7. The games will be more interesting but I don't see the Rockets being able to close out any more than 2 games.

Tough in this league to spot a 4/5 in the playoffs, maybe 2 games - and come back. I can't see OKC being able to successfully hold home court going into either Clips/Memphis' arena. At best they would be 1-1. After game 3 OKC would at best be down 2-1. This is when Westbk would be back - OKC would have to win 3 of the next 4.

Can't see it.

Not sure you can say any kind of surgery on a weight bearing joint of an explosive athlete; is mental. If you have ever had any surgery including arthroscopy meniscetomy; you would realize its not mental - he's gonna lose something

IDK, why dont you ask Houston JB? Even if you got that far, you still wouldn't know.

It's not just Durant that needs to step up, kmart needs to toughen up and play like he did 5 years ago. He can Nickle and dime teams going to the line and it stretches leads quietly

He can score so easily when he's to used. He was literally one of the very best, most efficient scoters in the league just a few years ago.

Can they? Yes. Will they? Not likely. But game three will be absolutely key. If they can win game three, I could legitimately see them pushing this thing to 2-2 and forcing some pressure on OKC. But if they lose that game, it'll be a miracle if it goes five games at all.

I do think this makes the Thunder a hell of a lot less dangerous in transition and a hell of a lot more one dimensional offensively. He's their key playmaker, and I don't think Jackson has that kind of skill. Durant will have to put up 35-40 a night or someone else will have to step up in a big way.

I think the Thunder will probably win it in six games, but I voted for the Rockets in seven, because I can still have hope dammit!

They have a shot, But I think Kevin Martin and Ibaka will have to step up if they want to make it pass the second round

nope. thought it would be awesome to see an upset for once. It's too bad how the better team always wins in the NBA playoffs. Unlike in MLB, NFL, and Soccer where there are favorites, but they don't always win.

Down two games is too much to overcome. If it were a 1-1 series, it could very well go 7. I don't see it going 6, honestly. I hope I'm wrong.

I say OKC in 7. I think Houston takes both back. Game 3 will likely be Houston's cause OKC is still adapting to no Westbrook.

Its going to be tough but you never know. I really am curious at how the Thunder will manage this playoffs without Westbrook. Lets see if the haters are right that Westbrook is holding Durant down. I don't think so but we'll see.

Rockets were not playing that bad to start with, this will extend the series but I am not ready to hand them a series W yet.

I don't think even the "herd" believes that Reggie Jackson-Durant is better than Westbrook-Durant.

Doubt Westy going down is gonna make Harden play better.

To some extent I actually do. He was on Harden several times defensively in game two, and I think he bothered James a bit. Westbrook also is a terror in the passing lanes, and Houston doesn't have to worry about that nearly as much anymore. Although I don't think it will make a significant difference to Houston offensively.

It's not that KD and the Thunder will be better without Westbrook, it's that Westbrook takes more shots than KD and is far less effective. All we want is RW to be a little more selective with his shots, those pull up 20 footers with 18 seconds on the shot clock arent good possessions.

RossTalksSports
04-27-2013, 04:06 PM
As obvious as it sounds, it all comes down to KD. He's the most talented player in the series, but if he doesn't get a lot more aggressive with Westbrook on the sideline it is entirely possible that James Harden ends up being the best player the rest of the way this series allowing the Rockets to steal it.

It would be pretty disappointing for me to see my second favorite player (KD) come up small the rest of the way, but it certainly isn't outside the realm of possibility.

Houston in 7. Harden vs KD isn't as intimidating as it may seem. With WB down, Houston no longer has to worry about the quickest guy on their team.

It all depends on the role player . Harden and Durant will cancel one another out
