Steve Francis
Derrick Rose
Russell Westbrook
Baron Davis
John Wall
Penny Hardaway

Honestly the only PG I can think of with that kind of athlecism/size combo who didn't suffer a knee injury was Marbury.

he might not have had any knee damage, but judging by his vaseline eating binge, id say he suffered some brain damage

True plus he was half assing it most of the time anyway.

It's stretching it putting Westbrook in this class. His was due to being run into, and no idea if this even a major injury yet.

C'mon, RWB didn't get injured from his own act.. Beverley needs to get fined. I didn't think it was a huge deal but if RWB gets injured, it's huge.

Fined for what?? it was a Clean Play. Beverly was going for a steal. get over it.

It's the euro step that is shredding their knees. So much force on the knees when doing that move and they do it with such force

Westbrook will finally miss a game in his career.

Although not big, Cp3 ****ed up his knee also. He was playing Westbrook/Rose attack the hoop style before as well.

yep westbrook is so injury prone

never missed a game in high school, college or in the nba until now

that was a fluke injury too, i wouldnt say its a dirty play, but it was unnecessary.

It's funny he mentioned Penny. Hardaway was on my flight out of Memphis this morning. I agree he was my favorite player for a long time and the Magic was my favorite team until the Hornets came into town.

I don't think he belongs on this though. He wasn't on Rose, and Westbrook level of explosion. I would take Russ off the list as well for several reasons.

Haha, Westbrook has never missed a game in his life... How in the **** is he clumped in with his group?

Why is it an issue that westbrook is out? I thought durant is the clear cut second best player in the leage and makes his teammates better.

I actually have said before that Westbrook's career would equal to Baron Davis' prime but being more healthy. Looks like he might have some knee issues if his is something serious.

I know a ballerina who tore her lateral meniscus. They told her she had to quit. Hope Russ has better doctors.

It's not a coincidence, and I imagine Mugsy Bogues and Spud Webb ankles and knees are shot too. These guys were/are explosive dunkers. They put a lot of stress on their body not only going up but coming down as well, or taking a hit from a big man while you come across the paint. I do think Westbrook's was rather freaky, but it still happened and as a Rockets fan. :)

We can add John Wall to this list as well. A bunch of knee issues early in his career

you name six players over 20 years and you think that big guards equals bad knees. First stevie franchise wasn't big second rwb hasn't even missed a game yet and will be out 2 weeks. metta cane back in 12 days

Why are you acting like all knee injuries are equal? All these dudes had different issues with their knees.

A partially torn meniscus is not a 'big time knee problem' by any stretch. Most come back before a month, its just a ****** *** time to get it.

This.

The topic starter is reaching hard. The position they play has nothing to do with injury likelihood. This isn't football.

Maybe if he represented both sides of the argument, by including prototypical pg's , he'd have more of a case.

6 players over 20 years because these type of PG's are that RARE. How many POINT GUARDS with that kind of size athleticism can you name?

How many major knee injuries have Tony Parker, Steve Nash and Jason Kidd had? Just for starters.

I thought nate robinson would of had some knee issues right now but hes a freak athlete. I always thought to myself what if nate was at least 6'3. Hed be one of the best players in the league.

True. Not to mention these guys have logged waaayyyy more minutes which is probably the biggest factor.

Big point guards who never had to deal with this.

Jason Kidd, Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson.
