So trolls get to enjoy one of the only years in Laker history where they don't contend. It doesn't last long.

For one, I think it absolutely will last long. I wouldn't be half excited about my own team if I thought it would all go back to the way it was before this season, the powers have shifted for good. Time will tell.

Second, trolls? Fans of other teams, and to be more accurate someone with a different opinion doesn't make them a troll. So many Lakers fans take the flak they get so personally. What's so hard about admitting that the Lakers don't deserve to make the playoffs? Here's a better question. How can you blame people for wanting to break the monotony and change things up a bit in a good way by not seeing a regular playoff team in the playoffs? It makes things generally more exciting. If more actual Lakers fans were more objectional and rational they wouldn't react so childishly and aggressively. Seeing the Yankees out of the playoffs=good for baseball, though the fans wouldn't like it. Seeing the Packers out of the playoffs=good for football, but the fans wouldn't like it. Barca out of the Champions League. Good for futbol, and trust me, as an avid fan, I would hate it. But I still know it's true.

Some people like to argue that there are bad seeds in every fanbase. While true, that has nothing to do with there being more irrational and idiotic vocal fans in some bases than others. See the Seahawks and the Lakers.

Of course there are more irrational and idiotic fans in the Lakers fan base. It is larger than most other fan bases. If you are saying there are proportionately more, I don't know how you can suggest that. If its based on your extensive experience in online forums, I would say that is also quite irrational and idiotic.

Yep. He's really played well in Diaw's absence. But if he is playing this way consistently, man... It will be like Robert Horry lite (though it remains to be seen if he'll knock down shots in the clutch) but just in terms of doing all the intangibles.

Dwight is a horrible post player period. Turns it over way too much. His free throw woes are hurting him even more because teams aren't afraid to hack and get really physical with him down low. If he gets fouled its pretty much a bonus for the other team.

He's gotten better since his Orlando days, but it's definitely a work in progress. He gets frustrated too easily, and doesn't always keep his composure, which causes sloppy/rushed passes. It definitely needs to be a focus of his as his career progresses.

I haven't seen much flailing, maybe Tiago once or 2x at most? Duncan didn't flail, he fell as he anticipated Dwight was going to react the way he did. And Bonner is getting beat up as much as Dwight is when he's in there trying to fight Dwight for position.

Talking about in general. Thiago is a flopper as well as ginobli and Parker. Duncan didn't flail he just acted as if he got hit by a Mack truck when he was slightly bumped. I will say bonner definitely did not flop in that gif.

Talking about in general. Thiago is a flopper as well as ginobli and Parker. Duncan didn't flail he just acted as if he got hit by a Mack truck when he was slightly bumped. I will say bonner definitely did not flop in that gif.

I haven't seen any flopping from Parker or Manu. Only maybe 2x Tiago trying to sell a foul.

And Dwight is built like a truck, so not necessarily a lie :laugh2:

Lol. Agree to disagree I was talking in general not necessarily this game. But I have seen Manu flop at least once this game no foul was called it was early in the game. I'm just making casual observation. I really have no hate for the spurs. Respect the hell out of Timmy. You guys have the best coach in the league hands down even though I hate his hack a player bs.

What else did you expect with a starting lineup that includes Morris and Goudelock, with a completely depleted bench? It would have been more amusing if they were moderately healthy.

Glad that is over. Worst home playoff loss in Lakers history.

Fair enough.

And I'm sure that hack a whoever will be gone soon, seems like enough people are against it. He actually hasn't done it much this series either, interestingly enough.

Please just let me know when Toronto can trade for Pau. I don't want to tune into these games... It's just embarrassing.

Artest is saying he could sit out Sunday because of his knee. Maybe there will be an Ebanks sighting!!!

Hoping Denver/ Warriors goes the distance. Although Tiago isnt nearly as important in a series against GSW if they were to win

Yea they could get away with playing small then. He and Diaw should both be available depending on if this series goes the distance.

Diaw walked out in a suit. He said it's possible he plays Sunday - needs to prove he can with contact Saturday#spurs

Even though it doesn't matter in this series, the spurs do flop a lot that's for sure. How many times do we have to see them throw themselves on the ground?
Spurs are full of European players. What do you expect?

With Kobe the team wasn't much of a threat!

Disagree. Losing a top 5-6 player in the league this year is a huge issue. LAL went 28-12 to close the year I believe. Outside the last two games, most of that was with Kobe carrying the team

I mean, this series alone shows how important Kobe is to our team. So sick of the people who say he's overrated. My god they know nothing about basketball

Didn't the Lakers get swept out of the first round last year with Kobe? I don't really see Kobe changing anything. Dwight would just get less shots.

We beat Denver in round 1 last year.

I'm not saying we would've beat the Spurs, but we wouldn't have been destroyed like this. Kobe is still 27ppg, 6 rpg, 6 apg, that we're missing on the court.

2nd round picks from last year are not better, or close to being better than Kobe Bryant.

Not to mention that he leads the team in PER (+3 to that of Howard's). So taking away your most efficient player who is also your best player makes your team worse?
