Some energy for LA off the bench

Yep! Not sure how much he can give us, but he will be out there mainly for energy and rebounding.

Yep! Not sure how much he can give us, but he will be out there mainly for energy and rebounding.

Sometimes even the smallest burst of momentum is enough. Will need to keep a body on him for sure

I don't know what has to happen first. I don't know if Dwight or Pau have to make good inside moves and make some baskets 1on 1. Or are the Spurs going to double team immediately forcing the outside guys to have to hit shots? Nash has to be better than he was or it will be a nice four game sweep.

Parker still can't find his shot, same with Green. If those guys can get it going, and close out better on LA's shooters who have a better rhythm tonight, they could pull it out. Interested to see how Pop adjusts at half knowing LA is hitting some 3's.

Four touch fouls in the post on Howard

I know at least 2 of them weren't, especially when he elbowed Bonner. When he gets frustrated, he tends to push and use his elbows more. He's gotta learn to keep his composure a little better.

But I do wish they'd let the big guys play physical.

I think if Steve Nash was healthy the Spurs would be in huge trouble in this series.

Steve Nash is the best pick and roll point guard from this era, and yes, if he was healthy he could have the Lakers putting up 110ppg.

The injury is limiting Nash badly. Injury is limiting Parker as well, but more so Nash.

DaLakerz Rulz
04-24-2013, 11:35 PM

They simply do not have the offensive weapons, and there is no go to guy when you need a shot. I really don't think its from lack of effort though. They are putting up a good fight.

Same could be said if TP was healthy. Nash would be able to get more on the offensive side but on the defensive side, as shown in the past, he would be a liability. Spurs have the firepower as well imo, if it did become an offensive type of game

Lakers have no clue what they're doing. Jamison hitting anything but the rim on wing 3's, Clark having to make difficult reverse layups only to give back 2 points on the other end, then making stupid passes. Dwight doing zilch aside from dribbling too long in the paint without putting up a shot, and Nash being a ghost on defense as usual in the 2-on-1 break, letting SA stroll in for a layup. Playing like headless chickens!

There's a reason kobe takes so many shots, its the only way the offense looks respectable, without him we struggle to score 80, despite having players like jamison, nash, gasol. .

People are quick to judge off the 20+ shots but the truth is we need em.

....and people wanted to see the Lakers and Spurs. I stand by my original saying that HOU/SAS would of been a damn good series.

That was before kobe went down. :(

LOL I resorted to just trolling him from a while back. There are some people here you just can't take seriously.

I haven't taken her seriously for a while now. Obvious troll, i bet she believes her own bs tho.

With Kobe it's obviously different. But part of it is people saw the Spurs struggling late in the season with guys not really playing 100%, and felt that would be the same team in the playoffs. The way the Spurs were playing mid-season, I don't think people honestly felt that way

If Parker can carry this momentum into Friday night's game, I like the chances of stealing it.

Na man, when it's on the road it's a steal, unless it's Miami in Milwaukee. The LA crowd will be ready and it will get the players going

Yea with Kobe the Lakers had a chance of 6 or 7 games against the Spurs but this is the freaking Spurs were talking about here. They are one of the most disciplined and well coached teams in the league, they rarely have mental playoff collapses early on in the playoffs, no matter what the regular season looked like.

P.S. - Dantoni can't coach to save his life.

Dwight has to stop getting cheap fouls. He did not have one defensive foul. They were all offensive fouls while fighting for position.

Nash needs to not play.

Blake better be okay.

Antoni better be fired.

Other than that we are good.

they did lose in the first round in 2009, got swept in the 2nd round in 2010, lost in the first round again in 2011. im not hating i just answered what you said. sometimes its not about which team is the more discliped team and better coached team because if thats the case then the spurs should be winning the championship every year or phil's lakers. sometimes its also about the more talented team, the more physical team or the team that feasts on the mismatches.

Meanwhile, the Lakers just sent out the longest, saddest injury update I've ever seen...

Howard Beck @HowardBeckNYT 3 minutes ago
Blake out indefinitely with hamstring strain, per ultrasound. Nash had two epidurals in back AND a cortisone shot in his hip. Doubtful.

Howard Beck @HowardBeckNYT 3 minutes ago
And Jodie Meeks is going fro an MRI on his sprained ankle. Listed as doubtful.

Just saw that. It kinda sucks. It's kind of ironic too everyone was worried about the Spurs health being the reason they were vulnerable coming into this series. (knock on wood everyone stays healthy)
