Take two minutes to watch this vid, you won't regret it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If7Hrcf04Dw

My question is, which team will be in position in 4+ years to take this kid #1 overall?

Can't stress how many of these players turn out to be a fail. You can't rely on such young talent. 14 years old or 16, it's going to be awhile before we see another LeBron.

xRipCity
04-19-2013, 03:36 PM
True, but he's 14 and doing this on the Varisty level already at 6'2, playing point guard. I know its highlights, but #1 draft picks are picked on POTENTIAL nowadays. Chances are he grows more height wise and basketball wise. Potential is through the roof, this kid can straight FLY.

Lol Seventh Woods. I have no clue.

He's obviously a 14 year old from another planet

Hawkeye15
04-19-2013, 03:52 PM
talented for his age. Hopefully he keeps on the right path, that tends to weed out talent very quickly.

I feel bad for everyone who got blocked in that video. This kid seriously had half of his body above some of them to block their shot.

The kid can sky, but let's see how much basketball skill he actually has

Back to my question. Who in four or however many years will be in position to take the #1 overall (not saying it has to be him)?

Probably the Bobcats still would be my guess...

I agree. Something is fishy there (whether he is really 14, PEDs, etc)

Almost as fishy as his name, Seventh.

He's pretty dope but that cross over was garbage, slow, and even in the NBA would be carrying.

That wouldn't be much of a worry. I didn't reall see a single jump shot in there but if he develops he will. E. name we see again surely.

... Kind of harsh criticism for a 14 year old.

Also he makes 3 or 4 jumpers in there, and you don't need an above average jump shot in the NBA... Which this guy has like 5 years before he'll even be there... Plenty of time to develop his game.

Amazing hang time. Just amazing.

Now this kid has handles

JasonJohnHorn
04-19-2013, 05:50 PM
Great handles and athleticism. Those 14 year olds are better than my senoirs boys team... lol

He can handle the ball and get up there for blocks and dunks... but can he shoot and pass? The athleticism gives him the tools he needs to be a great defender.

ManRam
04-19-2013, 06:12 PM
10 years from now, if he pans out, people will be yelling "ROIDS" at him...

...as if the NBA can't have the world's absolute best athletes. breaking news: some people can be insanely great athletes all naturally. this is why i'll never witch hunt...especially when the mlb has shown us that the scrubs are as likely to use as the greats.

Look at that play at 0:34. It looks like his teammate purposely shoots a free throw off the backboard and uses it as an alley oop and Woods throws it down. Does anybody know if thats a legal play? Its genius.

This one shows his defensive highlights. A lot of them are the same plays as the video the op posted but extended to show him stripping his man or playing the passing lanes. I have never seen a 14 year old with that kind of athleticism, that boy is gifted.

I remember that kid. I don't think he grew past 5 whatever he was at the time iirc. He's also only in the 8th grade right now, so he still has time to grow.

Kid definitely has talent. Important thing, is to develop the fundamentals at this age. He can dominate everyone with his size, athleticism right now. However as he grows he is going to face more fierce opposition. In that case he will be able to use the fundamentals to beat everyone.

Athletic + Fundamentals = Insane.

ztilzer31
04-20-2013, 06:59 PM
Definitely looks a lot like LBJ. Already at 14 looks like a NBA player. Probably could play on the Magic already lol.

We'll see how it goes, but this is one of those once in a lifetime players that makes the one year in college rule drive me crazy.

+1. Greg Oden has looked 45 since the age of 12.

yaswaggin
04-25-2013, 02:40 PM
I did some research on this guy:

1. He is in fact 14, turning 15 in august

2. He was the youngest player ever to join team usa u-18 team, he was selected vefore playing one high school game

3. He was named seventh due to biblical religious purposes when "god created the world by the 7th day". He said this himself in an interview

4. This highlight tape didnt show that he goes through rigorous training with marseilles brown (those videos are also on youtube if interested

5. Not only can he drive and finish, his ball handling for his age is outstanding. What this video didnt show was his shooting touch and form, which for a 14 year old are elite

Everything abour this kid is elite not only for his age, but for any high schooler.

That makes no sense at all.
God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th.

Which means he had all the time in the world to create this kid on that day.......That explains everything.
