While the Cleveland Cavaliers said goodbye to Byron Scott on Thursday, they could be welcoming back former coach Mike Brown.

With Scott out, there is mutual interest between Brown and the Cavaliers for a possible reunion, according to multiple league sources.

I think you've got that backwards my friend.

I wonder what this means for B. Scott. He makes a good analyst, I imagine he'll hit the ground running here. He had a pretty injury plagued season, but I know a lot of laker fans are still high on him to coach them eventually. I don't know how good of a fit that is, and I think D'antoni is around for another year at least.

Cleveland got tired of the lack of defensive growth. What the hell is Scott good for anyways?

Nah not backwards, il explain it to you if you don't understand my comparison. Mike Dantoni is the current coach for Lakers replacing Mike Brown. Mike Brown performed better as the record speaks for it self from this and last year. And im comparing it to Phil Jackson because he's the best coach of all times. Thats why Cleveland wants Mike Brown back because he's coached the similar roster as Mike Dantoni did and did alot better.

This move makes sense for the Cavs.

Will Scott get another job?

Cavs never should've gotten rid of the guy in the first place. They panicked.

Why would the hire back a guy they fired? I understand with the Bulls. The owners like Collins by Jerry Krause had a huge issue with him and was apparently the reason he got fired, so when they offered him the job a few years ago, or were looking at bringing him back, that made sense because Krause was gone.

But... I mean... Brown didn't work out there. It's not like he went out and proved himself. I'd understand if they brought him in as an assistant to work with the defense, but.. a head coach two seasons after firing him? Don't make sense to me.

lol, please

Not sure why that's funny Raps. Lakers fired him out of panic/desperation, he would have had that team finish with a better record than D'antoni.

I guess the Fan who went up to LeBron on court while a game was going on is now crying in a corner somewhere if this is true.

Would LBJ go back in 2014 if MB is the coach?

Finally the Cavs did something right. Byron Scott was an awful coach. His record with the team speaks for itself.

But bringing back Mike Brown is taking a step back. They need someone who is respected like Sloan. But Sloan wouldn't take that job.

Is this real life? Can you fire someone then want him back? How does that work...

Mike Brown is a god awful coach, I'm sorry. Please, somebody tell me what good has he done? Yeah he had a good run with LeBron, but that was all LeBron. He got fired in like the first two weeks with a stacked Lakers team (D'Antoni isn't much better obviously).

If Brown comes back, you can scratch LeBron coming back. Too bad Kyrie is restricted, he's probably crying somewhere right now.

Kyrie deserves to be happy. Trade him to the Heat for Mike Miller. Miami will also send Giancarlo Stanton to the Indians as part of the deal. Fair?

Seems like teams keep recycling the same coaches over and over again. I wonder when assistant coaches like Sam Cassell and Patrick Ewing will get their chance.

If they're trying to lure LeBron back in 2014, this is the exact opposite of what they should be doing.

I said this when there was a thread regarding Cavs firing Byron Scott. Guess Cavs are seriously intent on losing.
