I'm not going to put number of wins in, but I actually think we'll win the division if our team stays healthy.

I like TB a lot. They won 90 games last year with Longoria missing half the season. They lost Shields, but their pitching is still very good. I think Moore will have a great year. The rest of the division is a coin flip. I'm not sure it will get a wild card winner

Really? What's that mean about Ortiz? He's back on May 1st and plays almost every game thereafter? Well, I doubt he is, and I doubt he plays 100 games. I guess that let's you off the hook.

People forget how good Baltimore was last year, I think they win it.

My Red Sox prediction is half logical and half because I'm a Red Sox fan.

Toronto is perennial underachievers even when they're supposed to be good.

Tampa is very overrated, they can't keep losing talent and replacing it with no name players and expect career years.

And the Yankees are the Yankees, they're old and injury prone which is why Im putting them at the bottom, but they're the Yankees, they'll probably find a way

Red Sox can take the division this year if....

Lester and Buchholz combine for 3.50 era and pitch 190+ innings each, Dempster and Lackey eat innings and don't have an era of higher than 4.50 combined, our bullpen is as good as it looks on paper, Pedroia plays 150+ games, Ortiz hits 15+ hrs after the all star break, Will Middlebrooks maintains the production he showed last year over 150+ games.

Impossible? No. Likely? Only time will tell.

Your line up is going to be fine. But how's you pitching though?
Who else is in the rotation besides Lester and bokholz?
I haven't been following Boston's moves.

I know this division will be very close, but I think we'll be better than most people are saying.

Nobody forgot. Everybody remembers they had a ridiculous record in 1 run games last year and are lacking #1 and #2 SP's.

Regardless you don't fluke your way to 93 wins in a 162 game season

Except, they pretty much did.

You have to have talent to win games, even if they did win a bunch of one run games they still had to win them. Doesn't matter if its by one run or 10 a wins a win

Baltimore could finish as high as 3rd due to some weaknesses in other teams. Their record,in one run games last year is about as extreme as any team has ever had in a year. Their SP's are deep, but they have no ace. The pen is bound to be worse, and the hitting is overrated.

According to runs for/against they should have been 82-80 last year.

They probably did overachieve last year, but I can still see them winning around 87 games if they stay healthy. And they may not have an ace, but they do have some young guys who could improve this year

Nobody can deny that the O's do have a lot of talent and good pitching staff. BUT a lot of their talent is young and could be unreliable in clutch situations. If they had been unreliable last year they would have finished with fewer wins. I think around 82/83 wins max.

Also, Baltimore will call up Bundy by May 15. My opinion. That's their true ace for years to come and he may bring something to the table for them that, for example, Ellsbury did for us when he came up.

Last year with Injuries to lot of Sox and Bluejay players as while as the Rays losing Longeria help them beat some teams that should be healthier this year so besides there bullpen not repeating itself and 1 run games record there is other reasons people don't see Baltomare winning 90 games.

The 2012 Orioles were +8 (13-5) against BOS and +7 (8-1) against SEA. I bet that at least one of those evens out.

O's already have three 1 run losses in six games. Looks the horse shoe has dropped out of the place the sun don't shine for the O's.... will they call that "The Story of O"?

I think the top 3 are interchangeable. We are talking a matter of 5-8 games at the right time to determine who takes the division. Any one of those could take the top spot but I really don't see any team topping at MOST 92 wins if they sustain a hot streak. I think the O's are definitely coming back down to earth this year, Toronto will start to mesh/figure it out and be a much improved (borderline dominant) 2nd half team and the Yankees are finally just going to play old mediocre ball all season long.
