View Full Version : Rank the top 6-15 point guards in the NBA as of now

There seems to be so much talent at the point guard position today that the rankings after the first few get a little murky. I think most people's top 5 point guards are very similar in some order:

1. Chris Paul
2. Tony Parker
3. Derrick Rose (it felt wrong leaving him off this list so I took last season's stats)
4. Russell Westbrook
5. Kyrie Irving

Most may agree with that, give or take. But what about spots 6-15? Using a combination of most recent statistics and team success, rank the next tier of NBA point guards:

6. Steph Curry
7. Rajon Rondo (again, I can't let injury disqualify a player; some will disagree)
8. Deron Williams
9. John Wall
10. Jrue Holiday

11. Ty Lawson
12. Mike Conley
13. Kyle Lowry
14. Damian Lillard
15. Jeff Teague

Honorable mentions: George Hill, Steve Nash, Goren Dragic, Brandon Jennings

What are your 6-15?

This list aside, you have the most unusual list of favorite all-time NBA players I've ever seen. How is Andrew Bynum No. 4 on your list and were you even alive when Wilt played? If not, putting him in your top 10 is a little insane.

well ive followed bynum since he got drafted so ive watched him his entire career so i have a weak spot for him plus he did great with the lakers. as for wilt i have watched some classic games and highlights and i like players that scores alot

Honestly, putting flash and big names aside - i take Conely and Lawson over DWill now.

I have #5 as Curry, not Irving. They are tight though, and both can be argued over Westbrook and obviously Rose pending how he returns. Cp3 and TP go 1/2 for now.

After that, ranking PG's will make your head hurt.

While I think Rubio easily enters the top half of the leagues PG's next year, his 25 missed games, and 20 games to get right killed his chances this year. If we asked who are the top 15 PG's since Feb, sure he is in it

If Dragic was on a better team, I think he would have been higher on the list. In a couple years, he has a shot at being an all star.

Top since Feb 1st would probably go:

1: Curry (25/4/7 on 47/47/91)
2: Parker (24/4/8 on 54/17/88)
3. Paul (17/4/10 on 51/34/88)

4-11: D. Will/Kyrie/Lawson/Conley/Wall/Lillard/Holiday/Teague

Then I'd say it's fair to throw in Rubio and some others. He's started to look brilliant again in some regards, but we still gotta that TS% to at least a par-for-the-league level before he can enter the top ten, which I think he should and will.
